Playing the same team mostly every week, will work eventually, players will get used to playing with each other, and get to know there movements and positional play week in week out----- as proved today UTS👍👍

Now, what we need is a comment from Noto to bring us all back down to earth, and give us more joy....

If we play like that week in week out we are looking at top 10 plus. It’s always going to take time for new players to gel, I think it’s working at last. Good times ahead hopefully 🙏

Actually I did wonder about that - I thought we could only make 3 subs + concussion subs. Daniels, Ogbetta, Bennett and Whalley - none of them were concussed were they ? Hi Darkshrew, hope you’re well and having a lovely weekend. The Cambridge goalkeeper was removed with concussion and both teams get an additional substitute. Why is that? Why does the other team get to have an extra sub, can understand it for the team suffering the concussion? Have to say I did wonder why we bother made 4 subs?

Easy to fake I suppose so to make it fair the opposition have one as well. It also prevents players carrying on when they should be going off. We needed it as Daniels got injured after coming on.

Brilliant, superb performance. Bowman ……say no more. That will give him so much confidence. But…… Whalley was also brilliant. BUT……. The player that is doing it is Ogbeta. Ok …. Cotterill is having to play him because he has to. The lad is starting to produce again. He is getting confidence from getting play time but also from the manager realising he is talent. If Ogbeta needs to be played week in week out. Play Whaley and Ogbeta every week and watch teams thinking about us ……not the opposite.
I rest my case.

A useful contribution to the relegation fight - the goal difference gap is closed too. Teams below us have games in hand so but I'd prefer the points when down at the bottom.

We won in spite of the Manager, not because of any input from him. 😖

Yeh that was the one let down, the radio commentary, but I suppose I can cope if we win 4-1 and play like that Not in my book - too much positivity for Elliott to cope with 🙂 If sending him to cover Telford changed our luck then he's going to have to keep doing Telford.
Team's coming together, we can make a good season out of this yet. Potential January targets might also be a little keener to join this happy band.

An excellent result that begins to take some pressure off the team, giving them something to build on.

I'm happy with the result. We need all the points we can get. But I wasn't aware they were down to ten and lost their first choice keeper some way in. Its good to read the positives from yesterday but now I am wondering just how much those two incidents influenced the result...

Excellent performance from Leahy capped by the last goal. Great tackle to win the ball, great pass to Bowman, then following it up with an excellent finish.

Udoh’s strength running with the ball, along with his general hold up play was fantastic, if he can add the goals he’d be a real gem for us.
Bowman and Udoh as a pair work much harder & win a lot more in the air than Cosgrove, who must have watched that yesterday and realised what he needs to start doing.
Marosi 6
Bennett 6 Pennington 7 EEL 7 Nurse 7.5 Ogbeta 6.5
Davis 6 Whalley 7 Leahy 8
Udoh 9 Bowman 9

Woke up this morning still buzzing, although with a slightly croaky throat.
What a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, very refreshing to see us on the front foot attacking and pressing high right from the first whistle. Now we see what’s possible hopefully it’ll give us belief to do the same. I’ve not felt so happy leaving a football game for a long long while.
Bowman - All about him and rightly so. The perfect hat trick ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Udoh - Absolutely run his heart out and not in a headless chicken way, would’ve got my MOTM if it wasn’t for Bowman’s hat trick.
Nurse - Superb cross for Bowman’s first, best showing in a Shrews shirt. Mr. Reliable.
Ogbeta - Back to his brilliant old self and a brilliant embrace with Cotterill when he got subbed show a good relationship with these two. A well deserved rapturous round of applause from the south stand when he walked off by the side of the pitch.
Leahy - Class act. Would love him to stay in central midfield to be honest.
Davis - Very good game defensively he kept on popping up everywhere. Covering for Pennington at centre back when he surged forward in the first half shows great teamwork and he knows his job as a team player.
Whalley - Brillaint as always but that’s what we expect. He’s like a fine wine gets better with age!
Maroši - Winning me over a little, clearly nothing he could do about the Cambridge goal.
Rest of the defence - Very organised and sold performance - shout out to EEL especially!
And the ole’s at in the last few minute with every pass - LOVE IT 😍

The guy is class.

Hard to argue the red card didn't have an effect but still a huge amount of positives. Have to feel for Cosgrove in a way though; that service has been sorely lacking in recent weeks, what would he have achieved with that? That said, Bowman managed to be mobile without entering headless chicken mode which is a hard balance to strike as a lower league striker.

Nice to see George Nurse get some positive comments and ratings.
This is a step up for him to league one and I hope he continues to improve week on week.
