Worrying to hear Cotterill say he had to be subbed off with heart palpitations. On his way to hospital according to Lewis Cox.

Best wishes to him. Hope it's not heart related and all is good. It could be a million things and really I'm surprised that SC released that information. Just needs to say he's gone to hospital for some precautionary checks on his chest.
Get well soon Ryan!

On his way to hospital according to Lewis Cox. from my experience I guess he's got himself de-hydrated which can creep up on you even though you think you have drunk more than enough, some energy drinks can make it worse too hope he's ok

Not good to hear, I am surprised he was subbed off instead of being seen to on the pitch before walking off.

Lewis Cox is trying to get a update from Town. Ipswich media believes that he had a heart rate of up to 250bpm that's 4 beats a second.

I hope he hasn't recently had the covid jab as similar things are being reported as an adverse reaction.

I dont think I ever went over 200 but its horrible, hopefully it was a blip and went right back normal again, my last one stayed out of rhythm for 15 months, never lower than 80 even when I was asleep, back normal now but its a daily battle to keep it in rhythm, there is no way he can play unless its back 100%, worrying for anyone never mind a pro athlete ( walking isn't a problem, on a flat surface)

Adverse reactions happen. I never said they happen every time.

Interesting article, thanks for linking. No mention of Bowman having recently had a Covid jab though, which I believe is the main element of the free-thinking Pughy’s post which was under the microscope. It does debunk the claim however that he couldn’t have walked off alone with a heart rate like that!

Walking is not a problem at all , but try going up an incline , stairs or even running and you quickly feel like you’ve just done a 100m sprint

Having such as high heart beat must have been very worrying and you'd have thought the medical staff would have insisted he was stretchered off. I'm not expert but I'd assume that walking doesn't help heart issues.

at the heart rate he should not be exerting himself at all, and the medical staff should have made him go on a streathcher. that might have stressed him even further, walking is fine it might but having extra strain on your heart at the rate his was will be putting a lot of strain on his body the average resting heart rate is from 50 to 100 bpm, as an athlete you would expect his to be lower. depending on the result of his ECG you would expect him to be put on a beta blokcer fairly quickly .
