Except for that period very early in his career Bowman has always been a goalscorer. There are grounds for hope that he may repeat that at this higher level.

Thank you Ipswich for your care and concern throughout the incident. I bet today's performance surprised a few of their medical team so soon after such a major scare.

Does anyone recall a header he went up for today , missed the ball and was heading for a horrible high fall on his back but landed on the opposing players back who somehow deflected him back into his feet, how things might have been different , certainly his day today , I wonder if he’s ever had a better one ? You're absolutely right. We commented on it ourselves. He was really lucky the player happened to be in exactly the right place to stop the fall (albeit his challenge had caused the problem) as it would have been a horrible fall otherwise. Deserved his luck. And the rest, at they say, is history Is this the incident? www.shrewsburytown.com/

Ryan is currently joint second top scorer in this seasons FA CUP.
Jayden Stockley (Charlton Athletic) currently out in front on 4 goals.
Hopefully Ryan will add to his tally in the 3rd round.

does anyone know if he has an identical twin bother ?
there was a chap there yesterday who was clearly Ryans brother and I was convinced it was his twin, even had the same pony tail /bun
I said we should sign him and do the old switcheroo should Ryan ever get banned ;-)

"Maybe it was Shrewsbury heads but maybe at heart Carlisle! My grandad, bless him, he's a die-hard Carlisle fan, so he probably won't talk to me this weekend." I think by scoring yesterday Ryan upset his grandad

Didn't have much service yesterday, but when a chance fell his way he kept his composure and finished with aplomb.
A real asset. We are steadily improving.

Was interesting reading some comments from Carlisle fans, they said the difference was the finishing and how composed our strikers were compared to theirs, it's been a long time since I've heard that from the opposition! Also, interesting seeing comments about how many strikers they have had who struggle with them but do well elsewhere, maybe it's not just a Shrewsbury thing

However, some at times sloppy play from us presented them with chances a better side would have capitalised on. They didn't create much themselves, although they improved in the second half and scored a well-taken consolation. Overall, though, our defence was rarely seriously troubled and you felt we had an extra gear if needed.

I'm sure that his " dicky ticker" was carefully monitored over the course of the season. Though there must have been a little bit of worry? Hopefully now even more energised and back in full health. Makes you wonder what might have been the case before recent medical advances.

Good news but wonder why he didn’t have the opp at the beginning of May? Or will he still be fully fit for start if the season?
Could be NHS limitations

Could be NHS limitations Think I've read somewhere that he has to take things steady for a week or two but all being well is hopeful of being ready to take part in pre season training. Guess he wont be worked quite so hard in the first few days as they monitor things.

May be he had to take it easy before the operation as well to let everything settle down. He well have been advised to take a holiday in order to do this.
