Mostly with the Pziser the second jab was not booked at the time of the first. My GP contacted me with two dates only which I can't make because I am going away for the first time in ages. I tried to book myself in for a different date but the NHS site says I have to book through my GP. Will have to contact my GP, or they might contact me, when new dates are available. Mine was, and I guess all who had it through my GP surgeries in Telford. They seemed to be set up with a jabber & data clerk set up in each bay. Data clerk was talking to me about date and time literally as I was having 1st jab. All sorted within 5 mins of turning up, just the 15 min wait for reactions afterwards else I would have been back in the car within 5. Great service I have to say.

Contact your GP,I waited and now they have offered me two days I can't make. There is currently not an option to book 2nd jab online, so contact your GP and get a date that suits you. its only been 9 weeks , they will text me in the next few weeks Just go online and book one 👍

There is I did. It depends if you booked your first through GP or NHS... I just put my name date of birth and postcode. Offered me dates at beginning of May. Chose date and got e mail confirming 2dn vaccination booked.

Got mine Wednesday next at vaccination centre where I work. Roland had his yesterday but cock up with national booking system meant it over two hours for most people attending to get through. The attitude of most was that they were just pleased to get it done but one or two walked out hoping to rebook. Personally I would be willing to travel any distance and wait however long was necessary to get it done.

I did Saturday morning volunteering at the local GP. We were doing the second jab for AstraZeneca/Oxford. There were a few minor issues which we worked together to get through. I was checking people in at the entrance and seeing them leave a couple of minutes later as there is no mandatory waiting post jab.
Having spoken to a number of people it would appear that the wait time depends on if it is a GP led centre or not.
My wife was checked in by 3 different people before she finally got her jab. In and out in about 45 mins. This was at a Pharmacy led centre.
My mum had her second jab at Servenside GP. She was in and out in about 20 mins. She cycled to this appointment. She will be 72 next month.
The supply is causing issues currently. If a centre gets Pfizer a few days too early they have to bring all the vaccinations forward by a couple of days. This is because of the lower storage temperature required.
This is even before you have taken into account the production must be at full tilt.
A remarkable achievement so far but we have a long way to go yet.

when i had mine before they gave it they told me it was the oxford one, i presume this was not the case.iv not had my second but you would expect the person giving the jab would look at the card with the vaccine you have been given previously somone will be for the high jump , mistakes happen and considering we have had 10 million second jabs one error whilst concerning is not a suprise.

It should be logged electronically. As I was "Front of House" I was asked to check. We did catch a few who had been given the opposite vaccine. Mitsakes happen and this one might actually be to the benefit of the woman.

Had mine yesterday evening, Mrs Broadbent done Tuesday.
Vaccination roll out really is shining light of success amongst much of a year's plus shoddy leadership.

Just had my second jab due to my job. First time AZ gave me fever, shivers, fatigue++ etc. Second one did affect me a bit but not to the extent of the first one. My main concern is the rollout for younger people. Recommendation is no AZ for anyone under 30, but tocks are very low on non AZ vaccines across the country and locally hardly any other than those already booked for second vaccine.

Dunno if it's just me, but I didn't have any reaction to either injection. Salop and Cowden losing on Toosday hurt a lot more.

SECC at the RSH is now closed leaving The Bowling Centre as the main vaccine centre in Shrewsbury who are now being kept busy with the over forties. Possible change of vaccine from the AZ in the near future.
