Well, I don't mind us losing, I don't mind us playing badly, I don't mind the odd sloppy game. BUT, I don't like not even turning up, I don't like a lack of desire, I don't like us gifting the opposition probably the easiest three points they'll ever get. Fleetwood didn't even break sweat, they kept it solid and we made it an absolute stroll for them with a profound and pretty miserable inability to get through or round them. As poor a team performance as I can remember in a very long time.
Quite what the cause is I don't know. Be easy to blame the number of games but for all 16 players to all have an off day is unusual to say the least. Also worrying how ineffectual our subs and tactical changes were as well.
I'm not going to be as dramatic as saying Tuesday is now 'must win' but with some tough games ahead and still some way to say we're safe, Town need to understand there's a little bit of urgency here if they're not going to undermine all the brilliant work they've done to pull themselves away from danger.
Not going to give a man of the match, there's not a single player that deserves such an accolade after today's pathetic shambles.

no town player comes out of this game with any credit, just dire below par performances, not doing the basics right, dreadful passing showing no energy or creativity really not troubled fleetwod. 1 point out of 9 and a mini slump in form that needs to be sorted out ,players need to look in the mirror and step up. if we play like this against rochdale then im not hopfull.
prior to this dire form and we had the four games i thought at least 9 possibly 10 points now can we scrape 4 ?

We're back in the mire again can't believe it's the same team something very wrong. You would think players would give there all, especially with SC. in hospital but there again fleetwood always been hard to to beat.

Fleetwood 2-0 FT.
Called it before today we wouldn't beat Fleetwood and have to say I'm not feeling too confident about our next two away games against Rochdale and Charlton respectively.
Two draws, maybe a 4 points if I really dig for some optimism.
1-0 vs Dale and 0-0 vs Charlton.
Hope SC gets better ASAP as well, maybe that's affecting the players but we need to pick up results ASAP.

Well that's 3 games where we have been well below our best, no doubt Tuesday is now a very important in terms of turning this around.
Clearly missing Pierre, and Norburn, despite his weakness usually gets us going.
Not panicking yet (not that I will, it's just football), but need to get a positive result asap.

These last three games we look very complacent. Think a few need a bit of a talking to. We looked really poor today. If I was out of contract in the summer I’d be looking very nervous right now.

That was a really poor effort today - Fleetwood were a yard quicker to the ball in midfield and had more quality upfront than we did. We could not even put them under pressure in the last ten minutes - they were so comfortable. I think SCs absence is really starting to bite now and a few more performances like that will see us nervously looking over our shoulders hoping all the bottom four lose every week. Come on lads - you are much better than that and you need to prove it against Rochdale on Tuesday.

All the messing with the formation and players made no difference at all.
No players worth more than 5/10....perhaps Vela a 6

No need to go OTT we are not in the mire at all, but we do want to get a few wins quickly to get to that 50 points so we have a good number of games to push further.

Northwestman will be furious at Vassell celebrating his goal. He’s a huge advocate of players refusing to celebrate scoring against their former clubs. I haven't the slightest clue where you've got that idea from.

If players dont start performing in the next couple of months, they will be out the door in the summertime, cotterill will make sure of that, make no mistake

In all honesty I expected it to go to pot pretty quickly when Cotterill went into hospital and half the squad were recovering from Covid, and I think it’s pretty remarkable that the good form continued in spite of that. This is definitely a regression to what I expected, and it’s important not to lose sight of the fact we’ve got a bloke with zero managerial experience before this leading us while his friend and mentor is possibly fighting for his life.
That was s**te and no two ways about it, but there’s still a gap after that magnificent run and I’m confident we’ll have enough to get over the line by hook or by crook. After the mess we were in and the way Covid ripped through the squad that will still be an achievement.

I note that Wimbledon got an equaliser in the 93rd minute.

If this malaise continues on Tuesday I'll start to be pretty concerned as we've some tough games coming up after that. personally I can't wait for the tough games, we might get some points.

How poor were Williams and Davis today. The rest weren’t much better. Shocking performance. Really missing Norburn and Pierre.

We also shouldn't under estimate the effect SC going back in to hospital may have had on the squad.

The biggest issue that p**ses me off is the long balls from the defence. They are league 1 defenders, they don't have the ability to spray cross field balls with pinpoint accuracy on a consistent basis. We just waste the ball punting it up field. Main puts himself about and does well all things considered but he rarely has a player close enough to knock the ball down too so gets crowded out. We have some very good midfielders than need to be damanding the ball on the floor to their feet.

Nice assist from RSW. Got to be honest, he has had a poor season overall. EEL hasn't been great with the ball at his feet either. I think both of those need to worry about where they will be next season.

I'm hoping to goodness not, but maybe SC is not very well at all? Whole team was lethargic and seemed to lack focus, not even doing the basics right, like controlling the ball.
Fleetwood deserved the win, but thought their 2nd was a bit lucky, a shot which ended up as a through ball.

We've had an absolutely brilliant run since November all in all and so a few poor results now thankfully are not a disaster. Three points on Tuesday will put things back on track.
