great win tonight away at Lincoln , in fact they looked like they are heading for league 2 at speed, town have a chance to overtake them on Saturday and have 3 games in hand
I think their win tonight will have taken a lot out of them, town might have a few injuries but I think its about time we gave them a hiding and I predict us to bounce back on Saturday
I think 3-0 to us

Well you have to hope that 17th v 16th is also the positions come Saturday tea time.
Neither can drop any lower whatever the result. A win for us reverses the positions, a draw means we both stay as we are.
Only chance of us both not being 16th and 17th is if they win (and MK lose). We would still be 17th.

I am hoping for a win on Saturday, but Fleetwood is never easy. We have a poor record against them, the only wins we have had were in the 2018/19 season. So we are due a win, we need to pick up points as quickly as possible to not get drawn into the relegation battle. A big couple of weeks I feel, if we can get positive results against Fleetwood and Rochdale then we can breath easier. Lose both and we are back in trouble. My main concern is our injuries at the moment, Pierre, Love, Norburn and possible the keeper. Salop always seem to have the knack of making it hard for themselves, we need to dig deep at the moment and get a win soon!

What is the do with Chapman? Didn't someone yesterday mention that he is a free agent come the summer? If that is the case I guess it's not Blackburn nor any asking price from them we need worry about, its everyone else looking on and looking to make their move come the summer.
Has any of the press talked to the club staff about this? As in, could we have signed him if we wanted him, was it ever an option. And what is the situation with him come the end of the season.
The guy is quality. He's been superb these last few weeks. Great to watch. Would be gutted to see him leave the club so soon.

I think you’ve got to be realistic , yes I’m sure town would love to sign him in the summer. But when the top league 1 teams come calling offering him £5k a week and game time I doubt we’ll be in the running. I think we just have to enjoy it whilst it lasts...

I liked your post because I think you have it right, not that I "liked" your post. Now you do wonder whether there was ever chance to jump the queue.

There may have been but perhaps the player or his agent wanted to see what the summer brings rather than sign now. After all we are putting him in the shop window ready for the summer.

My fake news klaxon has sounded, absolutely deafening me during a quiet lie in. We definitely won there in the 2017/18 Hurst season but if memory serves lost 1-2 in 2018/19 under Askey.

Start Chapman.
That's all.

Agree - start Chapman playing just behind front two. And a half fit Sarkic is better than the sub goalie we have on the bench.

As much as squad rotation is important I cant help thinking that our creativity is hit hard when Chapman and Whalley are not on the pitch. Showed very much last night, Wimbledon didn't really offer much at all, very direct and defensively shaky but organised enough and dealt with Udoh and Main fairly comfortably.
I don't think we can afford to rest Chapman and that might be an issue with so many matches.

I like the 3-4-1-2 with the three up top being Chapman being Whalley & Main.
Be great if we signed Miller & Chapman but I won't hold my breath, think there could be plenty of surprises come June. Even Main could be a 6 month stopgap and let go.

Hopefully SC has identified something in him to work over the summer with and bring him on. They do keep giving him enough chances so maybe that's the thinking. But maybe it's just too big a step up from National North level. Doubt he is on a big wage.

Suspect there will be quite a few players moving on in the summer. We are short on quality upfront and managers like SC who have actually won things have a ruthless streak in them so he will want to bring in his own selections.

Beat Fleetwood and we won't be 17th any more.
Obviously we're not going to beat Fleetwood (we never do anyway). We're the chosen ones when it comes to 17th place.

Early signs would suggest that Norburn won't be fit so I'd bring Chapman in and move Davis deeper. Chapman had half an hours rest Tuesday, and he was hooked Saturday. He's too good not to play. Other than that I don't see any other changes if everyone's fit. I hope the centre halves' distribution improves from Tuesday's efforts.
Sarkic
Pennington Ebanks-Landell Williams
Daniels Vela Davis Ogbeta
Chapman
Main Udoh
Burgoyne, Goss, Pyke, Edwards, Whalley, Golbourne, Sears

I can see why Goss did not start against Wimbledon as they tend to bypass the midfield but I would start him against Fleetwood - remember he scored twice in his last home game and he provides the creativity we need upfront.

How did Davis do against the Dons? It was his first start for us wasn't it? Does he look fit? Is he attack or defence minded? Can he pick out a pass? Can he score a screamer? Is he messi in disguise?

Didn’t really influence the game in any way. Slightly disappointed really although there are obvious caveats, like the fact he’s barely played recently.

Is he messi in disguise? with 3 cbs in the starting line up, i dont like having a midfielder who might as well join them, to me he was a little off th pace and dangled a leg at a few forwards, penalty waiting to happen
