the irony is the EU have banned the export of vaccines to Australia and also threatened to ban exports of pifzer to uk and have the legislation in place to do do. i do wish the EU and UK could behave better with each other neither will benefit from this. "on a BBC new item on this subject " European Council President Charles Michel made this claim that uk had banned the export of vaccines to EU , later he said it was a de facto ban , then he said he claimed credit for potentially provoking the British government into being more transparent about its rules on exports of coronavirus vaccines and medications." www.politico.eu/article/uk-hits-out-at-eu-over-claim-it-has-banned-vaccine-exports/" European Council President Charles Michel accused the U.K. of blocking the export of coronavirus vaccines." "In a tweet late Tuesday, Michel did not repeat his prior allegation of an “outright ban” on vaccines, nor did he retract it or apologize, but instead angled to claim credit for potentially provoking the British government into being more transparent about its rules on exports of coronavirus vaccines and medications." www.theguardian.com/society/2021/mar/09/raab-summons-eu-official-as-anger-grows-over-uk-vaccine-export-claims" dominic Raab has summoned the EU’s UK representative amid government fury over claims by the president of the European council that the UK has banned exports of vaccines, which the government says are entirely false." The one thing that did make me laugh was the accusation of us banning it, whilst stating that the EU have a system in place to 'control' their exports. Politics at its finest "Britain and the U.S., he said, "imposed an outright ban on the export of vaccines or vaccine components produced on their territory."
"But the European Union, the region with the largest vaccine production capacity in the world, has simply put in place a system for controlling the export of doses produced in the EU," Michel wrote in his “newsletter to citizens” sent out on Tuesday"the us have banned exports of moderna to canada, but equally the EU have banned two deliverys of pfizer to australia so i feel there is a certain level of hypocrisy going on, also what does this serve it wont help relations with the uk but if im cynical this may defelect attention from the EU's abysmal vaccine roll out.

Basically the EU dithered for so long while we in the UK just got on with what needed doing. So they got left behind. Just shows how useless they have been over the years. Hugely glad we have gone on our own.

seems to be that way , I’m sure someone will post saying otherwise but I’ve not heard of any pfizer after effects but a high % of Oxford , I had Pfizer and kind of thinking I missed out lol I see the mix and match went quiet , has anyone heard about having both recently ?

I've heard almost no reports of after effects from Pfizer, which is what I had. Heard of many feeling under the weather for several days with Oxford though my OH was just a bit sluggish for 24 hours with hers.
Did see an article about after effects, seems they expect it to be the other way round for the second jab, Oxford little after effects but maybe Pfizer will be more affected. Wait and see.

Had mine last Sunday, no after affects from the AZ other than a dull ache in the arm for a couple of hours.

As a doctor explained to me once, side effects from these type of vaccines are very rare. So any ill effects after receiving a vaccine are more likely to be something they were already incubating.

Had the AZ last Sunday at Bath racecourse. Bit of a headache the day after but that was all - paracetamol soon put that right.

Wrap up warm if you are one of them. great news It is great news but possibly not for those booked in on Monday. The Bowling Centre is presently servicing just less than 450 people a day. Its a big jump to 1200 from Monday so may take a day or two to adjust but Im sure they will get there. Great management and staff backed up by an army of volunteers. Patience is the key but like Ive said all along we are so lucky in this country to be getting it at all and so quickly.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55274833More than 23 million people in the UK have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine - part of the biggest inoculation programme the country has ever launched. In a race against a faster-spreading variant of the virus, ministers have pinned their hopes of easing a third national lockdown on vaccinating as many adults as possible by summer.

With some of us not far off getting the second jab its worth noting that you will need to take with you the card you received at the first jab AND ID Can't be essential, I was told "Oh, that doesn't matter now you have had it" - I put it safe though. Perhaps without it they would have to look up your medical records with the GP?
