What a goal Walker!
They said the players were behind Sam this week and they've proven that.

A Saturday evening to enjoy and we can tune in to the second round draw on Monday as well!
Now to look at the final scores to see if there has been any shocks in the 3pm games.

Good half. Amazing what a goal does for confidence.
Udoh my MoM from what I saw. Worked hard all over the pitch and lead the line well in a role I am not sure suits him.
Good result against an in form side.

On the WhatsApp thread that myself, Exkeeper and several others are in, we all agreed that Burgoyne was exceptionally ‘big, loud and dominant’ today.

After last Saturday, this week could have been a disastrous one. Fair play to them for rescuing a point Tuesday and then grinding out a win today when pretty much every Shrewsbury fan expected to get turned over

Udoh led the line well. Feel it must be frustrating playing the role he does. Should have scored to. Burgoyne with some crucial saves. Pugh was quality today. Norburn and Edwards were superb in the middle of midfield. All in a all a solid performance and good win. Some much needed prize money to.

So what if Cambridge rested their main strikers, that's their call. Lovely bit of cash in these difficult times. I thought Udoh worked ever so hard. He looked so much better with the ball at his feet. Chased everything and closed them down.

this was a big game for town to get some revenue and build on the draw at last a win and a clean sheet.we had a positive start but cambridge had too may corners, four vital saves kept town in the game an important goal from daniels put towns nose in front , at times town looked nervous and created there own problems with some sloppy play but i felt nervous as we started to play too deep and very little out ball, when a wonder strike from walker gives us a safety net.we cant overlook that cambridge were without there two top scorers.
the players who stood out for me Pugh gave town some badly needed spark in the first half, the kepper who kept town in the game , High who looked solid in his defensive dutys and Edwards put in a battling performance and Trump has lost let us hope town can consolidate things and the USA can be more at peace with itself.

On the WhatsApp thread that myself, Exkeeper and several others are in, we all agreed that Burgoyne was exceptionally ‘big, loud and dominant’ today. That’s the sort of performance we now need to see Ona regular basis. He’ has shown he can do it, so we expect that regularly from now on.

What’s Ricketts obsession with Walker? clueless isnt he ;-) oh i see you just logged off Well he is clueless we know that, if he’s signed a central midfielder to play centre half and smash one in from 30 yards against lower league opposition then I won’t be complaining about it! Doesn’t make him a good manager. Good to see a few players getting much needed minutes today. Cant get carried away beating a weakened L2 side but a wins a win and we have to take everything we can get at the moment.
