If you didn't get a ticket, why not blame Ian Whitfield. That's what I always do if something goes amiss. i blame ricketts, the ticketing system needs to be a bit more exciting ;-)

Great - just finished work and discovered tickets have been made available during the day. Season ticket for years - thanks Town, feel valued.

Its hardly breaking news that we didnt know yesterday might happen. Hardly got a lot of time to set up ticket sales for a game in just 3 days time.

Luckily enough I was able to get tickets off my work computer. Maybe we could’ve released half at 2 and half at 8 to give people who are unable to get tickets due to being at work a chance as they were being released at 2pm on a Tuesday. But as has been said, the club are in a no win situation whatever they do.

Impossible to criticise the club. They've done magnificently to get this sorted, the get the covid plan up and running,to get it submitted in the four hour window they had yesterday, and to get the tickets sold today. Kudos to the CEO here, we saw with Luton who withdrew because they weren't ready how challenging this was going to be. There will always be disappointments here for some, and the Ticketmaster shambles does happen far too often for my liking, but here's hoping Saturday goes well and everyone has a good time.

www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2020/september/pilot-programme-statement/Just read this, to know how well Brian and the team have done. Luton blaming the EFL really as a distraction from their lack of preparation, while Town simply got on diligently behind the scenes and have been righly rewarded for all the hard work. That said, doesn't seem like the EFL did a great deal of vetting if they accepted Luton's application without scrutiny.

The ground work must have been done weeks ago, planning it and getting into a coherent state ready for submitting it to the EFL certainly didn’t happen overnight. Once the plan for 3000 was done it must have been a doddle to alter it to take 1000. If Luton hadn’t done the ground work why did they apply? Edited to add Morecambe and any other club who Complains. They’ve all had exactly the same time to prepare, if they didn’t then they’ve only themselves to blame. The whole epidemic has had to be dealt with at short notice when situations have changed at short notice due to reasons beyond anyone’s control. Cant even really blame the EFL for this - most disappointing!!!!!

We were the first English club to have safe standing and now we will be one of only a handful of English clubs to have spectators at the GM this Saturday. Not bad going at all.
We have a very good bloke in Brian, long may it continue.

There is a database of all the season ticket holders email addresses. I would criticise the club for not using that to tell the loyal fans what is going on - it is not like emails cost anything to send.

Surely an announcement on the social medias and main website is less likely to be missed than an email to ST holder??

The Club have had its reward for a well prepared plan and liaison with fans groups in the SLO. Well done all.
The Club really has come out of this last 6 months with a lot of credit I think.
On a personal note, I haven't been this excited about a game in a long time.

(I presume you weren't as it isn't hard to check the internet during the day) Very poor pointing the finger at the club and another example of our fickle and hard to please fanbase. Seeing the news coming out of Luton and Morecombe, I just wanted to say thank you to my club for all your hard work getting this game on. It’s lovely to have such a professional and forward thinking club.

I know several season ticket holders who don’t use email or even have accounts Some people don’t check their emails more than once a day. I honestly believe that whatever the club had done some people would have missed out.
At least lit wasn’t box holders and sovereign club members first - everyone who could had an equal chance.

Give it a rest....we are in the middle of an unprecedented pandemic and your moaning about not getting an email!!! The club has proven they have done more than practically all others and our fans are going to be one of the few rewarded for there efforts. The Board and the rest of the Staff deserve nothing but our support. COYB

Surely an announcement on the social medias and main website is less likely to be missed than an email to ST holder?? They could have sent an email to season tickets holders - would take less than a minute as they had the communication written for the website. I see all my emails - the wonder of smart phones. I had to work til gone midnight last night and was out at 6 this morning - Did not have a clue. I’m not on the club website or social media all day because I have to work. My point is they have a REALLY simple way to contact the season ticket holders which they did not use - in this day and age that is a big miss if you believe in customer service. Will they record who had the tickets this time and make sure that the other season ticket holders get a chance for the next match ? That would seem fair; as would have looking at how many years you’ve had a season ticket. Have not missed the first home game of the season since the 80s.

If you think business communicating with their customers by email requires a head wobble; then I think that you may be a bit out of touch.

Disappointed though you no doubt are put yourself in the clubs position and see things from their point of view in getting this up and running within a couple of hours of getting the go ahead. Yes they could have done several other things but they chose this way. Get over it. Im glad that virtually everyone else on here are praising the club at least. It only seems to be you that is moaning, for those with long memories just imagine if Malcolm Starkey was still running things at the minute. 🙄

Perhaps easy for me to say as a homeworker who was able to secure a ticket, and clearly in these circumstances not everyone was going to end up happy, but really well done to Brian and his team. And don't forget, but successfully trialling the covid secure measures now will give us every chance of higher attendances come October, so everyone benefits.
