Poor goal scoring record. Hope there’s a more proven league 1 striker coming in

Does the 9 in the picture indicate his squad number do we think?

Poor goal scoring record. Hope there’s a more proven league 1 striker coming in Carlton Morris has a poor goalscoring record but was an important part of our season and I'm sure many would be pleased if he came back

Bit underwhelming but I’ll keep an open mind.
Looking at his record and comments by other fans who’ve had him on social media he looks like a Holloway V2.

Second sighting of 'underwhelming'. Three signings , 3 relatively young lads anxious to impress and improve . What’s not to like. Not an easy League is League 1 so we need to give them time and encouragement . COYB

Good stuff - young guy with potential rather than a mercenary seeking a pay packet and having no passion

Season long loan for a good prospect is a decent punt, as is a two year contract on an exciting young winger who probably didn't cost too much. I have massive reservations handing a 3 year contract to a striker with a poor scoring record thus far in his career. 2 years is fine because we cant move them on, but 3 is a big commitment for someone unproven.

To me they all look like squad players. Nothing terribly wrong in that, but I hope to see some first team incomings as I fear getting young inexperienced players is a recipe for a long season. High and Daniels have never played in professional football. Nice players to have if they cut it, but essentially gambles.

Does the 9 in the picture indicate his squad number do we think? And/or his intended position "a traditional centre forward"? Or did they just have a number 9 shirt lying around? Is this the start of a Dad's Army set up? What's your name? Don't tell them, Pyke. Seems it's time to look up anyone else Sam was said to be interested in in January?

The majority of young strikers aren’t prolific.
I presume Dean Whitehead has seen the raw talent and reckons he could develop into a good player. I bet he is quite cheap and will be behind the pecking order of Cummings and Udoh.
I still expect another striker to come in and imagine Pyke won’t be starting right away.

Some people seem to forget that we have a couple of decent goal scorers in Cummings and Udoh.
Pyke, brings something different to the squad and is a different type of player.
Welcome and good luck.

Give the lad a break - let's see what he can do in a Town shirt. Looks like a more natural target man than we have already and that gives us another option in playing style. Welcome Rekeil.

Worth remembering that Ivan Toney, Kyle Vassell and Tom Eaves were three of our most unpopular players in the last ten years, and within a couple of years in the right environments have been banging them in.
Let’s also remember that we literally signed a guy from Telford who is actually incredibly promising.
To those underwhelmed, would you have rather seen a Will Grigg come in? Because that’s just not our way

The Star say 2 year deal but the official website saying 3 year That's cos the official website also said it was 2 years for about an hour or so and it was later changed to 3.

Happy to give him a chance, but at 5'9" I don't think he's come as a target man
