Didn't BC let on that the delay in announcing the fixture was because BT Sport wanted to show the game on Wednesday but Liverpool wanted the game played on the Tuesday? So if that is true, then we have lost out on money. Liverpool could have played the kids, reduced prices, given a decent chance of getting through... and played the game on the Wednesday for TV coverage. As far as I can see, there still isn't any reason given why they couldn't play it on the Wednesday. Sure we can argue about the amounts but other than that, I think that article is b******s. Of course we have missed out on TV revenue if Liverpool weren't prepared to have it televised in the UK. Doing us a favour my arse...this is all about Klopp, make no mistake about that.

But it might now be worth having a look see come kick off. Just FYI anyhow for those who aren't attending the game...👍 Live stream Express.co uk live blog.

Liverpool TV will provide him with a stream, they're filming the game and showing highlights later.

My first experience of being at a game with VAR tonight. I hope it doesn’t detract from the occasion. Not looking forward to it to be honest

No streams the foreign channel listed as showing the game has La Liga highlights on. VPN not working for BBC radio either

Well in hindsight they did do us a favor, awfully pleased it wasn't televised. Embarrassing enough without the nation looking in on that.

Underwhelming experience. They do say never meet your heroes . Anfield generally......although to be fair they did have their reserve crowd in (out-sung by the 8000 Salopians) Liked the big moving banner and the PA was also very clear for pre-match build up music. Staggering number of stewards and police. They must get some right muppet crowds in the Premier League. Can afford all of them but not hot water or even a hot air blower in the bogs ? Hmmmm.
Our team looked tired as previous posters have noted. Unsurprising given their recent schedule. Setting them up so they spent a lot of time chasing round into spaces after the very keen, much quicker and slicker passing Liverpool youngsters was a bit daft. However there was NO evidence of stage fright on the big stage as some have alluded to - they looked confident in the warm ups, and the 'atmosphere' most of which was generated by the away fans was pretty tepid anyway.
Felt a bit sorry for both Whalley and Williams (our youngster) who both endured excruciating 'if only!' moments. MOTM for us was Dave.......anyone would think he'd played there before sometime. Danny Udoh also did well with the few touches he got. But if you don't have the ball........
Liverpool's Jones and Williams will both feature for their first team in the near future, very good players (the primma-donna tendencies and occasional nasty studs-up challenges apart) Hard to judge the rest as for all the running and passing about they actually created few clear chances.
TV were right to give it a miss - the Oxford / Newcastle game was much more entertaining. VAR decision to scrub our goal was technically correct........but just so wrong..... Poor communication as to exactly who was deemed offside, and when, from the officials. Just imagine the grief if or rather when a similar situation causes Liverpool to lose a goal in, say, the cup final.
Maybe that's where Mr Klopp was last night ? Poised over the long-replay button in VAR HQ?
Still, that's 7 FA cup ties played this season, same as last. Most teams won't manage that. Hang on.......none of them will......only takes 6 ties to win it for a PL team. S.T.F.C. It just IS more.

in hindsight
I wish last night, our entire team , staff and fans had stayed away
would should have sent a squad of 11 years old, and given liverpool the respect they deserved
who knows we might have scored ;-)

Taking on board Ricketts continual comments on the impact the cup games have had on the squad combined with Karl Robinson's moaning about forcing Newcastle to a replay, the time has come to scrap replays. Particularly as we'd have a 'guaranteed' 7 or 8 additional points.

Kill off the game when you have the upper hand.

I have enough ammo taken from that tie ,I mean little old Shrewsbury had Klopp fleeing the country faster than Anne Sacoolas did

For all the fuss that Herr Klop made about his precious winter break, it’s not done him much good.
Two defeats and a draw since the scousers came back from the beach
Mr Ricketts meanwhile has two wins out of three
