Liverpool under 23s had good 3-0 win against Arsenal today. Big night for them and town players on tuesday playing in front of a near 50,000 crowd. Nerves could play a big part. Depends which version of kids they play. Looks like the names of today’s u23 game are different to the kids played v Everton and shrews 1st game. Had £10 on shrews hoping continuing cup form rather than league form... not great odds but efl trophy has shown a lot of prem youngsters have struggled in competitive games

Is the game being shown on any international tv channels? It is but not many are showing it, the Dutch channel is the best bet if a feed is going to show up.

Absolutely have zero interest in this game now along with the rest of the nation.
Win and get another pay day, or get beat and start to really focus on what matters.
Yes we have made a bit of money from this cup run but I have no doubt that’s it focus has destroyed our domestic season.

As a Town fan how could anyone not have any interest in the first ever trip to Anfield in a competitive game, with a more than even chance of a trip to Chelsea? As far as the financial benefits are concerned, do you not see what difference this will make to the club in its plans for improvement on and off the park? If you want domestic success you need the money to do it, and keep bringing on these days in my opinion.

What do we blame Fleetwood at home on? Or the dire Lincoln away, the god awful bore at home to Gillingham? Really looking forward to Tuesday. We had our moment against a fairly strong lineup & now we have a massive chance to get loads of money into the club and face Chelsea away, who will take it pretty seriously.

It’ll be a mix, and more than capable of beating Salop. Could be a tense one.

We only entered the cup at the beginning of November and we were concerned about the lack of goals before then.
If I’m honest I’m not bothered about Tuesday but only because of the Anfield attitude in the lead up. Yes it will be an experience but not one I would particularly want to repeat. I am hoping we win not only because of the finance involved but because it would be good to compare the attitude of another big a Premier club to that of Liverpool.

I really can't see how you think the cup has been a distraction as we have been bang average for months now. Take this cup game for what it is and that's an opportunity to see our club play under the lights at Anfield (one of the world's great football arenas) with possibly eight thousand Town fans backing them. Trust me. It ain't gonna get any better than this....

It's a free hit, because whatever team Liverpool put out, it's still going to more than decent.

Like I mentioned above, that was pretty much the same list that had the Bristol home game down as being televised. I'm not so hopefully a stream will be available. The Dutch channel listed for example, as far as I can see its the Oxford game and Spanish cup football they will be showing on Tuesday night. Malta GO channel also has the Oxford game listed. Not sure if our man in Japan can take a loo at the Japanese channels to see if it is listed there. I think for us exiles and those who can't make it'll be radio coverage.

Yeah it's looking doubtful now. The Dutch channel definitely had it on the TV guide but they have since changed it to the Oxford game. It looks like Liverpool's block on the UK TV channels is actually a worldwide block as even dazn Italy pulled the game off their schedule.

I have maximum interest (as opposed to zero) in being there when we have a chance to topple the world club champions at their seemingly impregnable fortress. It does not matter what team Liverpool put out - if they further weaken it its because we held them first time. I think we are still underdogs but we should be competitive. Come on you Blues!

I'm a bit of a miserablist when it comes to following the Town. I'm not at all excited about going to Anfield but when there are 40,000 + Liverpudlians who are going to be getting behind their team I want to do what I can to get behind mine.

This has probably been done to death, but just for peace of mind. I’ve purchased my tickets, hoping to pick them up tomorrow, but if I’m not able will they be sent up to Everton for collection on the night of game?

Just looking to the Liverpool website and when it comes to the men, their player listing is split into two; they have the first team and they have the academy. Now if Liverpool are true to their word then I think that would mean all those listed in the firsts will be away on the winter break. So that would then leave us with their academy players. No idea how much they tend to swap and change things at that level but in that game they won yesterday they made 10 changes...if that isn't the norm then it would suggest they are keeping the normal starting lineup of the academy back for some purpose, which could mean that's who we will be going up against on Tuesday.
If so then of course they will decent enough, no doubt about that when it comes to a top flight club...but I do think it really changes the whole dynamic of things this. Any other time going up there and I would see it as a free hit, you go there and give it a good go. But now looking to the side they might well put out, I do wonder how that will impact the players and manager and how we look to go about things. Because normally there is no pressure, I don't think that will be the case if we are going up against an under 23 side. I think some of the pressure will now fall on us and you do worry what impact that might have.
Plus most (if not all) will be playing in front of the biggest gate in their career and I think even though it might be their kids, the Liverpool fans will have seen the criticism pushed their way regarding this tie and are looking to circle the wagons and will really look to get behind their team. Just hope we don't freeze because all things said, if it is an under 23 side then it really ought to be on us to go and win this game. Which isn't the normal state of affairs for these ties. Really have to get the preparation and all spot on for this.

Yes Bullens road ticket office just outside Everton ground. For piece of mind check in stock reception if ticket office closed as they may still have them

Any idea how many Liverpool home tickets been sold? It’s sold out. Will be 50k+ in there, which will probably be a surreal experience for both sets of players!
