Great result - can't wait for work tomorrow. Just listening into BBC Bristol and to be fair they are full of praise for us - reckoned we were well organised and don't have any complaints about the result!!

Great result. Only slight down side - why the hell cant we play like that against the Lincolns, Boltons etc. Exactly my own thoughts. Because players are human! They will always try harder in big games! I will be amazed if we win again before the Liverpool game!

Can’t keep on winning by the 1 solitary goal ! Where’s the entertainment in that . Very poor - Ricketts Out . Im hoping we will get more than just the 1 against Liverpool........

Credit tonight to two much maligned Shrewsbury figures:
Sam Ricketts - the debate about his setup over the course of a season will run and run, but there's no doubt that in cup matches he knows how to set up a team to not only contain higher league opposition, but to go toe-to-toe with them. Much the better side over the course of 180 minutes against a strong, top half of the Championship side, following on from last year's valiant efforts. Sure, it's a bit frustrating we haven't seen more to rival this in the league, but you've got to enjoy these moments when they come and give credit appropriately.
Block 19 - I'm an ardent defender of the Block 19 boys, but there are times where their focus on away fans' sexual preferences can be....tiresome. They were superb throughout tonight though, the prize on offer seemed to focus them, and they were a constant source of noisy, pro-Town support. Matched in every respect by the South Stand, the atmosphere had been building terrifically in the last ten minutes, before they appropriately sucked the ball into the net to set up a game against a team with a vastly inferior home end.
Well done to all involved, a magical night.

pheraps it was a mixture of the FA Cups, the prospect of playing Liverpool or just been the underdogs, but tonight played with more freeedom and showed they can play attacking footbal.
what an entertaing at times nerve shredding game.all credit to the whole team for working so hard and some resolute defending, a vital save by Murphy kept town in the game , Udoh and lang forced good saves .
Bristol looked dangerous every time htey went forward, fortunently there number 9 missed two very good chances and they did not get on the end of crosses that flashed acros the goal, a post saved us.
Giles picked up a knock somtime in the 50th and he did not look as if he had shaken it off before getting subbed, Udoh ran himself into the ground. then in the 89th minute Pierre put us in the lead and the crowd goes wild. Cummings showed his expierence by running down the clock . and now a dream draw.

Hopefully Liverpool will insist on playing with their heavy metal football and give us a chance...

I think any Shrewsbury fan attending the Liverpool game, and being of a certain age, should wear a Terry McDermott wig and a Graham Souness moustache! Mandatory!

Anyone who wants to inject the slightest negativity into tonight's game should take a trip to the one team in bristol forum, you can get your fix there.

Aaron Pierre’s Left Foot....Wow, just wow! No fluke either, as he had a sighted in the first half as well. How good was the atmosphere tonight as well? I’ve got one very happy and tired 8yr old tonight...on the pitch at full time and couldn’t believe he was stood next to Pierre and Laurent. He didn’t stop talking about it all the way back to the car and on the drive home,
Oh - and the current World Club, Super Cup and European Cup champions at home in the next round! What a start to the decade!
