Enjoyed that. A tad uncomfortable at times during the five minutes added time but for the most part we kept them at arms length. Well done Town, well deserved. 11th in the table and just a couple of points of the play offs...

7 minutes added time doesn't do much for the heart. Well done Town.

Aye gonna be a real test this. 39 goals Posh have scored this year compared to our 12... if SR didn’t fancy opening up against Lincoln it will be interesting to see how we setup this evening. Posh shown that can ship a few too with their 4-3 loss at Blackpool on Sat; I hope we have a bit of a go. I'm sure as hell that they'll score. Their front three have 33 between them already. In my opinion you must be the scourge of the bookies.

The biggest diving t**t in League One ‘wins’ a penalty then possibly the second biggest diving t**t misses it. What a great night for football.

Really satisfying win if not the most exciting to watch.
Despite the pre match ideas it would be a goal fest thought both sides looked tentative in the final third of the pitch and most of the possession was with central defenders who didn't have many options open to them. Always looked like a match that a set piece was our best chance of a goal and really enjoyed the celebration too!
Found Peterborough's time wasting in the first half a bit odd as slowing the game down seemed to play into our hands rather than theirs, and it was nice we scored in the 2 minutes added on for their time wasting. Couldn't really see the penalty decision from where I was but looked quite soft, but Peterboroughs striker clearly felt sorry for us with a nice tap back to our keeper - dreadful penalty.
Thought the whole team worked hard and stuck to the task really well, with maybe Love edging MOM for me. Just be great if we could add to our goals on the break and make the last few minutes of matches a bit less tense

That’s should shut the moaners up until Saturday There should be no moaning henceforth! To revel in nights like this you have to appreciate the tactics that achieved this and that means accepting them when they don't work quite as well. SR has created at least a mid table team and has worked tirelessly to bring things together. Anybody that ever moans about how he should do better with the squad he's got, best remember that he was the one who assembled this squad, it was his vision not anyone else's!

whilst frustrating to watch the pass back ,pass across then pass back it servers the purpose of stifling Peterborough . town had the better chances but not enough end product. the goal was a relief suprised by how there defence just seem to freeze. i thought the ref was very poor and bought every dive Ivan Toney made, the penalty was an utter farce.despite it been a poor penalty well done the keeper for saving it Edwards had one of the best chances when he one on one should at least have forced a save.
the game opened up in the second half, whilst Peterbourough attacked with pace towns defence did a god job, thought love and whalley linked up well. all credit to town for a hard working performance and a valuable three points. i hope O'Leary's injury is not to serious

Excellent win against 14 Peterborough players (3 in black) tonight. Defensively awesome, but also looked more dangerous on the counter attack tonight. We are getting there, slowly and not far off a side that could really push for a top 6 place if we can find some more midfield creativity in the January transfer window

Solid performance
We shut 39 goal Posh down to barely a shot on target
Really promising signs. Hopefully the doom mongers and moaners stay away, as we are going in the right direction

The most well drilled Town team I can ever remember, everyone knows their roles. A bit better decision making in the final third and we could go places.

One of the best performances for a long time. Went at them from the off, decent passing and movement. Whalley and love down the left are a force and seem to have a great understanding. Love my MOTM great performance. Special mention to Edwards who worked his socks off and never stopped running. Murphy 👏 👏 to come in and put in such an assured display is fantastic. We should have been more comfortable. Our goal just sums us up! Lol
P. S **** off Toney you diving cheating pineapple.
P. S. S. What an awful ref! 4 or 5 times he didn't blow up when it was a clear foul (for both sides) then gave a pen that never was and wouldn't even consult his linesman who had a better view. .

So it does I suspect they haven’t overtyped from when it was off last time BBC only said it P-P late on and also the Portsmouth v Southend. It must be true - Boris told them.

That was a decent performance. I thought Omar was going to bury the chance that led to the goal to become joint top scorer.

Superb performance. Despite what others say above, I’ll still moan when they bore me to death but tonight was anything but that. They were all excellent & for the 3rd game in a row the little change of formation makes us better to watch and more likely to score (even if the goals scored in those games has still only been 2).. we could have a deadly combination if they start to pick better passes in the final third.
Maybe the best showing under Ricketts for me.....
Get in.

Free-scoring Posh could only play sideways as the game wound down & Murphy hardly had a save to make. They must have been so frustrated!
Excellent performance and we frequently threatened to score a second goal.
Penalty was at the wrong end for me to see - confess I thought it was the right call at the time but the recording shows it was an obvious dive by Toney. He should have been off with a second yellow.

can't remember the last time a town keeper saved and held a penalty, anyone else ?
good solid performance, can't really fault anyone, but perhaps Dave needs to practice tapping the ball into the net ;-)

I thought our 3 Centre Backs were outstanding, making a prolific attack look toothless. They were tight as a gnat's chuff. On our bus, Pierre got Juan vote for MotM. He marshalled the defence brilliantly.
Pierre for team captain in my eyes.

You can all crow as much as you like, but the fact remains that once again we only had 44% possession
Ricketts out 😂😂😂

Good grief on the replay that penalty decision looks awful.
Toney is an absolute melt.

i get passing it around till we see space to exploit, that became obvious.beginning to see the method now, keep the ball from the opposition, they cant hurt us with out the ball, then when opening opens we strike, it worked tonite

We are now 2 points from 4th place.
We look so solid defensively and even with free scoring Peterborough, I didn’t think we were going to concede.
The players all look like they know what their job is and have gelled well together.
