Hi guys
Stoke fan here, I like to keep an eye on our youngsters that are out on loan and see how they are doing.
How is Campbell doing for you guys / what are your thoughts and opinions of him?

Brilliant cool head in one on one situations with keeper but suffering with our managers player rotation system which means he is unable to strike up an understanding with those around him.

Gets subbed off between 60 and 70 every single game
Scored a few important goals so far
Needs a right foot

I'm glad he had gone out to you on loan to get some "proper" experience rather than dead rubbers with the U23's

Bizarre if true?! It’s our managers way of tinkering with the side that starts the game. Having changed several players from the previous game because they aren’t up to 5 or 6 games a month including a midweek trip to Plymouth he can also ‘legitimately ‘ (in his eyes) change the side round during the 90 mins as well. Its called rotation, pity we don’t have the squads that Premier league clubs have to do it and make it work, but what do we as supporters know eh?

In all my time as a Town fan I’ve never heard that before. Did Sam tell you this in the fans Q&A?

I vididly recall Okenabirhie stumbling round the Molineux pitch from about 60 minutes onwards like he was at deaths door, when he was rightfully hooked people even moaned then. He’s barely started a game since, fitness is clearly an issue with the majority of our squad.

So a 19 year old professional athlete isn’t fit enough to play a full 90 minutes, 8 months into a 9 month season?? In that case I’d suggest the fitness coach(es) need looking at!!

In that case I’d suggest the fitness coach(es) need looking at!! did you not understand the bit where we've played Tuesday Saturday most weeks since we've signed him, not our fault he's not fit, but we can't really pound him into the ground in between 2 games a week but we are getting more out of him than when he arrived

Campbell signed on 31st January. Before his first game for us on SATURDAY February 2nd, he played 61 minutes on SATURDAY 26th January for Stoke. Since then we’ve played:
SATURDAY Feb 2nd (63 minutes) v Luton Tuesday Feb 5th (0 minutes- ineligible) v Wolves SATURDAY Feb 9th (0 minutes) v Bristol Rovers SATURDAY Feb 16th (58 minutes) v Burton SATURDAY Feb 23rd (63 minutes) v Peterborough Tuesday Feb 26th (64 minutes) v Doncaster SATURDAY March 2nd (67 minutes) v Wimbledon SATURDAY March 9th (71 minutes) v Rochdale Tuesday March 12th (71 minutes) v Plymouth SATURDAY March 16th (71 minutes) v Wycombe
To come:
SATURDAY March 23rd v Portsmouth SATURDAY March 30th v Southend SATURDAY April 6th v Sc***horpe SATURDAY April 13th v Gillingham Friday April 19th v Barnsley Monday April 22nd v Oxford SATURDAY April 27th v Coventry SATURDAY May 4th v Walsall
So in answer to your patronising question- no I don’t understand that we’ve played Saturday - Tuesday most weeks since we signed him. We’ve played it three times, one of which he wasn’t even eligible to play in, and we aren’t scheduled to do it again this season!! In fact, he was here for 4 Saturday matches before he was eligible to play a Saturday- Tuesday!!
But don’t let the facts get in the way of your argument 👍🏻

That was never in question. What was in question was why he was only playing 60 or 70 minutes. You said that it was because he has played Saturday, Tuesday since he got here. I have provided you the facts that what you said is completely and utterly not the case. Like I said, don’t let the facts get in the way of your argument

Bar Burton, it’s perfect! He’s just showing off with the 71 minute hat trick in March. Against Pompy I reckon Ricketts has planned to sub him in the 76th minute but for him to score in the 71st.

Interesting that Nathan Jones, as well as Sam Ricketts, also knows less about Campbell's fitness levels than some Shrewsbury fans.
