And his dad also says lower down the thread:
· Apr 23 It’s obvious to me that the manager doesn’t rate Tyrese enough to keep him on for the full ninety! 🤦🏾♂️ 🤯 😤
He needs a manager who believes in him plain and simple.

Yes, the conversation thread on that tweet is the reason I posted it. I seems Kevin Campbell has no idea why his lad can't play for 90 minutes either.

Not saying he would have seen out the full 90 but I think he was taken off on Saturday because he'd taken a knock. Came off a bit gingerly. As for why he never sees it out; I guess when it comes down to it he's got someone very like for like in Okenabirhie and if you are hoping fresh legs will have an impact...

I don’t think his dad’s tweets will help the situation!

Kevin’s just your more high profile version of the football dads you get on the sidelines at Sunday morning kids football, couldn’t care less about the team or the game just wants his son to dominate.

The only one not fit enough to last a full 90 x 46 games per season is Sam Ricketts.

Assuming we are talking about Monday's game and based on that evidence, Okenabirhie is not a like for like replacement. He has his qualities but is not suited to the lone striker role. Campbell is more physical, closes down defenders and makes more intelligent runs. He definitely should have played another 20 minutes or so. If we had won that game but he had aggravated a knock and was not thought to be fit enough for the remaining games, then it would have been job done and no one would have been worried. A risk worth taking at this time in the season. There has been nothing post-match to suggest a more serious injury which would obviously have put a different complexion on things.

He's not our manager and is only concerned about his son, not STFC, and Tyrese only has two more games with us anyway. We don't need to win the approval of a player's dad.

Has anyone thought that there maybe a clause in the loan agreement for the maximum amount of time he is allowed to play, given his age and potential future value, just a shot in the dark of course.

I think Caldwell said that wasn’t the case. Anyone on loan will be selected or subbed according to what the manager wants, or we wouldn’t sign them

this is the chap who could only last an hour v a lower league side (shrewsbury) when he was on a hat trick
if it wasn't for us he'd have been lucky to play an hour in total since January
maybe if he got fit instead of whatever else he does there wouldn't be an issue

Am I missing something here?
The lad was substituted for our top scorer. He had taken a knock earlier on & was not as effective in the game as one would have liked.
TC has promise, but he's a long long way from being the striker his dad thinks he already is.
If you ain't scoring, then off you come sunshine..

Kevin Campbell's tweets, since his lad has been with us, have generally been very complimentary towards Town and how we have handled him. You would think he may have known why he seemingly can't play a full game though, if it is down to a lack of fitness for example he surely would have just said so.

Well its all about opinions isn't it. I'm easy with either of them starting. Just recently we've seen Campbell score a decent goal away to Barnsley, we also saw Okenabirhie score a decent goal down at Southend. I think both of them are a threat and at the minute are just as likely to score as the other. Perhaps Campbell just edges it and gets the nod but no surprise to me that the manager may consider a like for like swap with a fresh Okenabirhie being an option towards the end of the game. Sure, not talking about a serious injury. Just saying he looked a little gingerly coming off on Monday and hence the early swap may have been forced on the manager.
