it would be interesting to see Angol and Smith leading the charge in the reserve game.

so far then a much loved former player who is injury prone , a player we wont see till next year a keeper who is a failed trialist .and now a forward on loan who does not have a ringing endorsement from his former club but we hope can make the grade with us.
so two friends a player he used to play for him and a forward who may or may not have been recommended by Edwards who is a friend of the manager but we do have a forward .
we know from rickets that he had to thin the squad to bring players in so that could suggest funds are tight, with nearly two thirds of the transfer window gone.
are you happy with what we have brought in? do you think we are trying to stay up on the cheap ? what other positions would you like to see strengthened ?

Does look like there aren’t funds to be spent in January and that they would rather wait till the summer.. when we could be in league 2! Losing Emmanuel is a big lose - he would fit in perfectly in a 3-5-2 and leaves us short of cover at RB. Also suggest we’re going to be seeing more of Sadler/Waterfall playing together now. Still time though.. I’m hoping for CB , a winger and another striker which is achievable with two weeks to go.

We have 2 more weeks. A lot can happen. It can but people don't have any patience, expect things instantly and believe that signing players is as simple as a computer game.
Look in the summer transfer window, in the final week we signed Docherty, Grant, Waterfall, Angol & Norburn

all true but how often do we see town been slow off the mark. We were quick off the mark last season and got all the targets we wanted but they were all useless. It means nothing. Sometimes it’s depedant on the market itself. Not much is happening so far. We’ve seen the domino effect before.

Never understand where people get the notion we can sign a 20 goal a season striker or top player in January. Surely if he is that good he wouldn't want to move and his club would not want him to leave, this isn't FIFA on a game console, and it has little to do with money. If you are a footballer the probability is that you go out on loan to put yourself in the shop window to be either bought by the loan club or by another club. Therefore you would be reluctant to move to a struggling team that is potentially going to be relegated as this would not increase your value, mainly by association, unless you turned out to be the saviour of the team, which is a rare event to stake your value on. On the other hand you may know that you are surplus to requirements and are looking for anyone to offer a contract. Nevertheless this goes back to the point where the loan market is full of players who have significant reasons to get it right for their short lived career, not as simple as some think.

How frustrating seeing that Colkett looks like she’s going to go to Villa. I said from the start he needed to be playing weekly in our first team. Yes he was light weight but if he had played in our system he would have been as exposed as in a standard 4-4-2
He had genuine quality on the ball and I’m sure he’ll end up a good championship level player.

The way they talk in Brum he'll probably think he has.
