Did anybody on this message board, seriously think we would beat Accrington today. We've been abysmal away from home all season

Well we'll see what sort of reaction Sam Ricketts gets from them after halftime, this is his first real test.

Sitting pitchside wondering why I am giving up Boxing Day to watch this utter garbage.
Shockingley poor first half, hit and hope interspersed with a bit of hoof ball.
This is the second Ricketts game I have witnessed, the other being away at Burton and this is as bad.
Get a grip Ricketts, this is unacceptable

The Shop on for Amadi-Holloway. I can imagine the reaction had John Askey been in charge.

Did anybody on this message board, seriously think we would beat Accrington today. We've been abysmal away from home all season No, but our away form was just as bad under askey. Actually, I’ll adjust that, just before he was sacked he actually won an away game. So as we’ve brought Rickkets in, shouldn’t we expect an improvement on away form?? Or shock horror, was askey not completely at fault and was it the players....

It's coming to something that John Lewis is featuring more and more of late. We might as well off load Lee Angol at this rate 😯

We are what we are. With all the turmoil off the field after Wembley, this season was always going to be a bit up and down at it's best.

The timing of Angol's substitution has to be questioned when we were chasing the game.

So glad we got rid of askey. Has really sorted this team out. need to wait for a transfer window to sort the mess out askey left behind !! Jesus Christ . Disagree .... He lost most of the squad that led us to third under hurst. Some of the players remained in Sadler, Bolton and Beckles. He signed some decent players in midfield. Posters have been waxing lyrical over Docherty and Grant. And he signed a potential non league gem in Fey. What was needed is time for this team to gell. Unfortunately most were unwilling to give Askey the time to do so ...

I am usually surprised the the shop gets played so often, however when he came on today he was very good. He won a lot of flick ons, held the ball up, and put the defence under pressure.
He offers no goal threat, but Shrewsbury were considerably better second half due to his contribution. I think too often we can get carried get away blaming our pantomime Villain (and the ugly sisters of Waterfall and Beckles) but need to acknowledge when he was one of our better players today.
Fair result today (sadly) as the first 30 was truely awful. But they got better and could have nicked a point at the end.
