How’s this for a CV . Two Wembley Finals lost, Missing out on automatic promotion and leading his new club into a relegation position and possibly seeing them out of the top two divisions since God knows when.
Paul Hurst , truly a specialist in failure.
Mind you he did save us from almost certain relegation so perhaps not quite.

I've seen a few pictures of Hurst after Saturday's game. It's nearly Halloween, so it's very appropriate that he has a haunted look on his face.
Just for a moment I felt really sorry for him, then I remembered the mess he left Askey to clear up at our place and had a little chuckle instead.

‘If true how terribly unprofessional of Evans to be sounding out other managers without sacking him’
Great quote from Ipswich board. Will Evans be texting these Managers 🤣🤣
That’s a bit rich coming from them after the way they tapped up Hurst.

There was a video of the Ipswich crowd's reaction at full time as Hurst walked across the pitch - I got the feeling that they have turned against him.
No one likes being beaten by a team in pink.
And having watched the interview and read the comments by Ipswich fans it is evident that Hurst is a goner. It's just a matter of time.

The difference between Shrewsbury and Ipswich's present position is I do not believe that the vast majority of our players -the starting XI and the subs bench - are out of their depth in League One

The problems with Ipswich stem further than just PH. Attendances have been way down for ages and they are quickly becoming a forgotten club. As is the way with the footballing world the manager always gets targeted. Look at Newcastle. A club who are built of Championship players at best who are majorly underperforming yet a lot of people think it's Rafa's fault! The reaction on this forum suggests that Hurst is bordering somewhere along the lines of comparison as Hitler. Quite embarrassing to say the least.

A club who are built of Championship players at best who are majorly underperforming yet a lot of people think it's Rafa's fault! The reaction on this forum suggests that Hurst is bordering somewhere along the lines of comparison as Hitler. Quite embarrassing to say the least. From the Daily Telegraph April 2018 www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/19/ipswich-towns-attendances-could-warning-sign-football-league/
A Telegraph analysis of the match attendances for every club in the current Football League over the past eight seasons has identified a small group of clubs who are in stasis and have nothing left to play for this season, where attendances are starting to slide.
Ipswich Town are one such club. They are currently sitting in the middle of the Championship - a league they have played in since 2004-05 - without any realistic prospect of relegation or promotion. Their (now former) manager, Mick McCarthy, was due to leave the club at the end of the season but quit four games early last week.
In their most recent home fixture on Tuesday 10 April, just 13,271 turned out at Portman Road to watch their team beat Barnsley in McCarthy's last game in charge. This was the third-lowest attendance for any of their home fixtures in the past eight seasons according to the figures, collected from football statistics website Soccerbase.
It means that seven of Ipswich's 10 lowest home attendances in the past eight years have come this season with the nadir being when just 13,031 fans turned up to watch their game against Hull City on 13th April.
This record low followed on almost immediately from the previous record low of 13,205 that was set a couple of weeks earlier against Cardiff.
It means that average attendances at Portman Road so far this season 2017-2018 are the lowest they have been for at least eight years. An average of 15,348 fans have attended each home game this season, down from 19,146 at the same point two years ago.
And incidentally their Average undert Hurst this Season is 17723

It's interesting how much of their fans' criticism of Hurst echoes that of some voiced on here about Askey: out of his depth, random selections, players out of position, players recruited who are not up to the standard of the League, lack of goals or chances.

At Elland Road tonight. Nsiala dropped. Nolan booked in the 5th minute for a very late and clumsy challenge. Only one team in it so far.

When I saw Leeds had scored an early goal, it didn't change my demeanour in the slightest.
I was going to do a silly little jig around the living room anyway.

An utter shambles from Ipswich. No words to say how bad this has been. The players simply aren't good enough. Nolan strolled round as the game totally bypassed him. Nothing in the middle nothing up top and a shakey defence. Leeds have absolutely cruised this one to chants of 'sacked in the morning' from Ipswich fans as they stream out in the 75th minute.
Hurst on borrowed time here.
