What's pleasing about their comments is that they've described exactly what we are about and share similarities when they went to the championship.
A side with very good spirit, hard working and defensively strong, despite not scoring loads of goals. Realise that there side need to be on it throughout the game to get something at our place where we rarely concede. Big factor for us is, how much we've recovered from Tuesday plus what changes may need to be made that gives us the best chance of playing to the high standards we've set ourselves.

Yes indeed. Almost everyone quite complimentary about us and our position.
(If there are still any Blackburn fans lurking on B&A they would do well to take a read - just saying like)

Very noble for their fans to notice that we deserve to be where we are. Saturday is a chance to avenge a disappointing result of which was a fantastic hard working Salop performance.
Same again Saturday to show we are no mugs and that we are here for the fight. Hoping that the "fringe" players are "up for this" as they could be vital after the effort put in Tuesday night. Cue LJL or AG.

Very interesting and a good, measured, debate. As has been said, fans of some other clubs would do well to follow their example.

Considering the number of games we have played of late and the additional 30 minutes on Tuesday this is going to be a very difficult game for us. Be glad to get this one out of the way and then see the lads have a full week off to have a bit of R&R...

The only First XI players rested against West Ham all then came off the bench, and with extra time played a fair bit too. Possibly Hendrie or Bryn Morris may come in?

Interesting that we're perceived to have taken a dip in the league when we're a point ahead of both Wigan and Blackburn over the last 5 games. That said, Doncaster are one of a few mid-table sides on even better runs lately, so this is a tough one. Will Fergy be in the stands for this game? Will he be armed?

The Doncaster forum consensus seems to be they will be happy with a point tomorrow.
Agree with previous comments our toughest game with so many played in the last two weeks.

Interesting that we're perceived to have taken a dip in the league when we're a point ahead of both Wigan and Blackburn over the last 5 games. I think they were meaning that we were was it 9 points clear of even 3rd place at one time, now it's down to just 2. So maybe they were thinking of a bit further back than the last 5 games.

exactly at the end of the day which is more important a vital game the league or progressing in the checkatrade trophy . EXACTLY - looking between now and early May what is more important for Town, getting automatic promotion (still hopefully as Champions) and playing at a higher level for all of next season or a crAp day out in a sh!t suberb of London especially with our record down there. There isn't any comparison is there.

I for one am extremely concerned about this game.
Worried about the amount of games we have played recently, worried that they are on a good run, worried that despite being defensively sound we don’t have a great deal of effective firepower going forward.
I know we are having a fantastic season and PH has done a great job but I fear the amount of games will catch up with us today. Hope I’m wrong and we get another 1-0. But I also hope PH was press talking when he said ‘he wasn’t on the lookout for another striker’ because imo that could be the difference between top 2 and playoffs.
Lowe looks a quality signing btw. COYB!

Time for Salop to give somebody a tonking, starting tomorrow. Morris drought to be over Coybs I think the players may be too knackered to do that! I’ll take another 1-0 although I am slightly concerned about how much Tuesday night’s game has taken out of them, and wouldn’t be surprised to see one or two changes based on that.

I am conservatively predicting 1-1. Doncaster to score first.

That's exactly why the cup is a dangerous distraction. Make a load of money which is great but at cost to the league form. How much was the poor performance at Blackburn was down to players saving themselves for Tuesday.

Yes, I wouldn't disagree , a 1-1 draw wouldn't be the end of the world. They .are decent and on a good run . Hopefully the chicken munchers and Wigan will do their part and f.ck up . Lots of games left, lots of twists and turns , even if we lose I won't be too worried . Think of the positives , we could be in Bury's situation .

No place on the bench for Riley or Dodds.
Zac Jules on the bench for Vale.
