I'm not bovvered about any Juan else. Points make prizes, and 58 is a bloody good effort. I tend to take PH's view, that we concentrate on ourselves. If we can get near 70 points about the end of February, we can really go for it.
That would be tremendous for the likes of Shrewsbury.

No doubt the next development will be 'the likes of Shrewsbury are getting too big for their boots'.

That would be tremendous for the likes of Shrewsbury. If we get manage to get three points vs Bristol on Saturday, I think that achieving 70pts by the end of Feb could be within our grasp. The matches on the horizon which I think will be crucial will be both Charlton games and Gillingham, who are on a great run right now. As the season gets to its climax, games get harder...teams at the bottom scrapping for survival and mid-table sides pushing for the play-offs. I'm just glad we've played both Wigan and Blackburn home and away, taking 5pts out of total or 12 in the process...something we'd have thought unobtainable back in July. i still think that the most important goal that we've scored all season as LJLs late winner in the first game vs Northampton...that was the catalyst for what has followed.

The arrogance of some supporters.
I've got a hundred times more respect for the likes of Rochdale, Accrington and Morecambe. These are north west clubs who continue to survive on small gates and certainly don't owe the bank of India over £100 million.

The 'Biggest Club In Lancashire' really need to sort out their finances...FA rules imply that a 12 point deduction could be put in place if they enter administration. We, as a club, may be seen to be the poorer cousins by the likes of Blackburn, but at least our accounts are in order and we live within our means. Talking about the likes of Accrington...I'd like to think that they can look at us as a role model for achieving relative success on and off the pitch.

Another quote from the Blacburn forum on the subject of inept referees..
" whilst giving the ref some grief in the Blues Bar after the game was told that refs in the first and second divisions are not full-time professional referees. They have jobs and only get paid expenses for football matches and that professional refs are only allocated to Premiership and Championship matches. If this is a fact, this would explain the rubbish referees we seem to have had. Could anyone confirm this please? "
Just shows what a big club Blackburn are when they haven't noticed this fact before. Must be a truly humbling experience playing in the old third division.😆 Also noticed they want some decent wingers .one fan mentioned most clubs around our league position but failed to notice Rodman and Whalley. Probably the reason why the efforts of our team still seems to go unnoticed. Long may it continue until May when they might wake up and whinge how did little old Shrewsbury did so well...let's hope so!!
