This "United fans in the home ends" thing is a bit of nonsense really isn't it? There are hundreds of United fans at every town game. And even if these are proper full on hardcore Man Utd fans - they are just like us, except they support Man Utd. When Shrewsbury played Chelsea at Gay Meadow my mate could only get a ticket for the Chelsea end! There were Shrewbury fans in home areas at Wimbledon away. I accept the "police advice" and want us to be careful - but if I end up sat next to a united fan then the first thing I will think of is not aggression or a sense of being invaded but rather to ask him/her how they feel this season, and were they in the Nou Camp that night. People are people. full segregation is a relic of the days of hooliganism. Have one neutral stand at every game I say.

Judging by the queue as I left at 11am there won't/shouldn't have any left by now

That's the Foz sorted. Evidently a mad rush as people finished work. I only just made it before they closed the queue. I did feel sorry for people turned away. Some were evidently quite frustrated. One chap was there like ninety seconds after me clutching a twenty so I got his too. We're all Salop aren't we? Thanks once again Dave, helped me out a lot. Good to put a face to the name too, maybe see you about on Monday!

Just managed to get the old man one, 60years he dreamed of this game. He's like a 5 year old on Xmas day!

Well, I'm about the make the drive to Shrewsbury for the weekend and extended stay till Tuesday. I'll look forward to seeing Salop shirts around the town and being at the game on Monday night. Salop!

Those road works that have closed Roman Road in one direction are going to prove an absolute nightmare on Monday night.
I'm certainly going to leave myself plenty of time.

Now the rush is on for Rochdale tickets to see Grant Holt. 4 blocks showing limited availability, 12 with yonks of seats.

People are people. A lovely genteel post. Will you offer them a bite of your pie, too? How about a chorus en masse of 'Glory Glory Man United' to welcome these splendid fellows to our ground? This is a football match, and an element of tribalism is to be encouraged rather than meekly discouraged. I hope any United fans in the home end have the decency to keep their head down and behave with decorum. Anyone wearing United shirts in the home end should be ejected immediately and subject to a two-year banning order. This is not an evening at the pantomime.

I'm up for some tribalism as two sets of supporters exchange chants at a game.
And I'd fully expect any United fan in the home end to keep their mouth shut and their colours hidden out of respect.
But you would not say or do anything to a United fan in a pub, nor would you at the stadium. You'd sing at them behind a row of stewards, behind a row of police.
It's not real. That's the pantomime. Enjoy it.
But the fact is some chap from Salford scored a seat next to you. He's a real person.

I think he's more likely to be from Telford.

I'm particularly looking forward to Ryan Jervis giving his traditional arse licking welcome to our "big club" visitors.

I take it that Roland has booked Beyoncé for the half-time entertainment? Maybe we will see the return of the shed, kids penalties or even the classic 'fan from the half-way line' thing?
Surely there will be something with 10,000 loyal supporters there? Not all of them are going to get a beer or a pie!
