It's inevitable that Utd fans will end up in the home stands. I know two already who have tickets for the South and West stand.

Just got home and have say everyone was a credit to the club, from the security guard and the free coffee and allowing us to use the loo to the ticket office staff.
No problem needing ID at the windows, I got mine and another. They were even registering people with local addresses on the day, as long as you did have ID.
Cracking effort, well done STFC.
Bloody cold for 6 hours though.

This "United fans in the home ends" thing is a bit of nonsense really isn't it?
There are hundreds of United fans at every town game.
And even if these are proper full on hardcore Man Utd fans - they are just like us, except they support Man Utd.
When Shrewsbury played Chelsea at Gay Meadow my mate could only get a ticket for the Chelsea end!
There were Shrewbury fans in home areas at Wimbledon away.
I accept the "police advice" and want us to be careful - but if I end up sat next to a united fan then the first thing I will think of is not aggression or a sense of being invaded but rather to ask him/her how they feel this season, and were they in the Nou Camp that night.
People are people.

This "United fans in the home ends" thing is a bit of nonsense really isn't it? Well yes, but the point is that they've taken a seat that might have gone to somebody who may have come back. These two won't ever, unless well play them again. So while I agree people are people, it's disappointing to think that some body queuing right now might miss out on a couple of tickets who we might have got back.

Civil disorder all over the South East of England after we beat them Monday night and Van Gaal still refuses to resign!

Well I hope the coffee comes out soon. You must all be frozen. To be fair they've been bringing it out all night and thankfully letting us use the facilities ?
Well done Shrewsbury Town Football Club.

With people blatantly queuing to get tickets in home sections for united fans. Hope the stewards eject them when they don't celebrate the shrews scoring

I might feel the same as TBH if they actually came or were born in Manchester !!! If only it were so simple - a local team for local people. My son is a town fan but born in Greater Manchester his only connection with Shropshire is me. Your logic might suggest he had a choice between Stockport, Macclesfield and Citeh.

If I hear any Juan calling us "Shrowsbury", I'm going to report them to a Stooard.

Yes, but he has a connection. My son wasn't born in Salop either, but he used to come to games with me until he grew up and came to his senses.

Just looked at the photos of the queue on the Star website. It's through the gates and down toward the lights.
So what's that in old money? Over the English Bridge and half-way up the Cop?

It's funny if they are only allowing people with local addresses to register for a supporter number, presumably many of the 'local people' registering today are members of the Shropshire MUFC supporters branch

True but at the end of the day he wouldn't be just supporting City because of who they are. There would be a connection.
