Are an affront to the footballing gods, and a horrible symptom of all that is wrong with the modern game. It should be perfectly legal and acceptable to punch in the face anyone seen wearing one of these heinous things (unless they are a kid, in which case you should be able to punch their parent in the face instead).

I can see a time in a few years where premier league grounds have 3 sections for fans. Home, away and finally tourists (decked out in their half and half scarves).
I absolutely detest half and half scarves, I do hope we don't see any at the United game. And if you're gonna bring kids who like United, please don't allow them to wear a United shirt in the home end!

Dislike half and half scarves for league games and most other matches...........
.......unless its a cup game between say Arsenal and errrrr a club from Shropshire at the Emirates. In which case buying such a scarf on the way out is just about acceptable purely for nostalgia

Wish they called it the "Neutral Zone" ha ha.

I will sponsor your trip from home to Shrewsbury , and return. Gladly. Why?? Sillysevern has purchased two of these abominations which he wears on a regular basis. Nuff said.

Thought we were trying to get rid of violence within football.

Understandable though - the senile owd sod has probably forgotten one half by the time he looks at the other. Like a bloody demented goldfish.

don't see what the problem is if its just a souvenir of the game to keep
i suppose you'd punch a player too who swaps shirts at the end of the game
pathetic

Some people seem to have had a major sense of humour bypass. Do I really need to state that I am not really advocating any kind of violence? Really? Words fail me

if someone is spotted wearing a half and half scarf, please advise them at half time everyone switches to the away end and will need to move.

For big events, I'm talking like World Cup finals, Champions League finals etc then I don't see the problem with them at all, I understand why people dislike them but I think its exaggerated sometimes, its not that big of a deal.
I have more of a problem with the scarves such as 'Vardy v Aguero I was there' etc that City were flogging last week, can't remember the other ones but they had a few for sale which are real cringe. In my opinion things like that are far worse then half and half scarves with simply two teams names on them.

At the gay meadow did for last two games when fans allowed to move over to station end. I was there for one of games and was cracking atmosphere in the station end 'pit' Also would often stand at Riverside end of ground and then move to wakeman terrace for 2nd half.

You have been enticed into the land of stupidity by the clown Osprey who has changed his name again. Used to be Billy Bunkem but I have it on good authority he will be re inventing himself as bloody Chaffinch or Sparrowhawk or something similar next week. Not very imaginative is Bunkem . If you come to Shrewsbury bring the goldfish with you , it'll keep Bunkem occupied for hours .When he's bored he can talk to you . He likes being bored does Bunkem.

Hence the odd terse response... seems the most childish and bitter thread ever this, if someone wants a scarf then they will buy one, there no needs to ridicule them as if its a crime personally i don't bother with scarves maybe when town win the cup and draw your local german side in the europa league we can dig this thread up and warn you off thinking about buying one ;-) the only real issue here is that town should be selling them and cashing in, i 'd probably buy one as a memento if it was official merchandise

Personally anyone who owns a rare Blyth/Salop scarf deserves a medal. I don't think the club can sell them as they'd probably be some complex image rights issue with Man U whereby they get 95% of profits plus the right to enslave and child wearing one who is under the age of seven. They'll be made by some dodgy Manc who brings his transit I would think.
