Ahh, ceejay, the man who publicly bet KL8 £150 that the Loggerheads would not return by 2017. I hope he is planning a trip to the bank to withdraw the cash, which I know KL8 is going to donate to a charity closely linked with Town fans. - Brought Back The Loggerheads No chance that he'll cough up. Shame on him if so - the money will be going to a deserving charity. Surely he wouldn't turn his back on a bet where the winnings go to such a deserving cause?

A devil’s advocate has either a contentious view or wishes to test an argument.
Any group of activists will or should test their own argument with a series of challenging questions.
The question is whether those who claim to be playing devil’s advocate over this issue were of the opposing view or were merely testing the argument.
If the latter than how question’s were framed and in what manner are important.

No surprises to see our ex pat in the land from the rising sun chime in with such a comment. As predictable as a bible in a hotel room. You presume wrong on both counts however . First of all I am delighted to see the Loggerheads returning as from next season. No more negativity at the GM , no more alienating supporters and clogging up this forum with the Bring Back The Loggerheads campaign. Shrews fans all uniting under a common badge and preferably on blue and amber stripes. Secondly I always honour my bets so £150 to a charity of Geoff's choice next August

Sorry to drag an old thread up, but has the money been donated yet? No - Clive hasn't had the decency to reply to the PM I sent him which outlined possible good causes locally. When are you coughing up and paying the £150, Clive?

Have you nominated a charity yet, KL8? I do a bit of charity work, and would be pleased if it's a local Shropshire charity.

Hello John. Clive has done a runner, despite making boasts on here previously about how he "always pays his debts". It would be a grave shame if a local charity was to be deprived of cash as a result of his lack of moral fibre.

It would be a grave shame if a local charity was to be deprived of cash as a result of his lack of moral fibre. I had to pop into town today. St Mary's Street? Any road up, it was lovely to see loggerheads flags flying from the businesses. Not sure why they ere there, but quite emotional for a sentimental old fool like me.
We might have to raise the £150 quid for ceejay ourselves, I don't mind chipping in with a donation.
