Mangan on for A-A who has gone off with a knock. He'll slot into the left wing berth.
What have you got for us Mr Mangan?

Town look good in each department, Kilmarnock decidedly average so not too sure yet buy I do like the look of this back four.

Come on Roland. Mellon has to go now win rate down to 25%. Not won in last three home games and we all know we are always rubbish away. Do you think Bookies will pay out on relegation bet now should do.
Lol

First question mark for me is the keeper - not been convinced by Halstead and Leutwiler failed to hold on to a couple today and he got away with a fortunate offside when Killie scored on a reboound
We have loads of centre halfs, but Ellis and Connor did nothing wrong
Where was liam Lawrence ? if Woods continues with this form he is going to be hard to leave out
forwards looked ok, but i suppose the disappointment is not getting a goal

I'm not going to mention that Mr Jarvis announced who scored the Killi goal about 30 seconds after it was disallowed and play had resumed, or the half time announcement of 1 moment extra time

I was level with the offside"goal". If the guy had not been offside the keeper would have got to the ball before him.

Hard to pick anyone out for criticism after that. I haven't been too sure of Ellis and NKP before today but they both did well.
I'd say those were perhaps the hottest conditions of any of the games so far!
Town did well.

Very warm conditions which dictated the pace of the game. Unsure about the starting back four. Goldson and Ellis in the middle, but K.P as left back i, no way. Better in the second half when Gayle and Demetriou came on. Woods was not as sharp today, must play Wildig, class player. Very impressed by Manganese, good touch, passes well and mobile, he can also beat his man. Would like to see him up front. Caton came on to play wide right, far better than a poor Vincent. Overall a steady game, boring in parts but the heat and humidity its toll. Maybe it's me, but I thought Ryan naming the Killy goal -scorer was a p**s take on Ryan's part, a bit of fun following the Killy fans going mildly mental when they thought they had scored. All this Ryan Jervis bashing, behave.

Nothing gets past you Scoot ............
No I wanted to delete what I'd posted but couldn't find a delete button.............so re wrote the post instead
Just for the sake of an argument with you though I thought Woodsy was quite a bit below par today ............I do set high standards for him though because I believe he'll make a very good player given a bit more time......

Woods will make a great player but not with us...can see him moving on before Christmas, possibly following Taylor to Pererboro.

This was still a team that is gelling and to be honest I found that I am looking to spend my £130 come the end of the season (£10 stake and odds at 12/1) - a good work in progress team.
Yes there were some bad passes, lack of concentration moments for some players - however we do not play in temperatures of 28o normally. And it was a friendly.
All in all quite impressed with my first viewing of MM's work so far.

No goals but a decent display against opposition it was difficult to judge/evaluate. Feel much more positive about matters now than I did at the end of last season

Well played town, holding a Scottish premier league club. Town may not stroll league 2,but top 6 is possible

Fully agree with this, thought Leutwiler looked more assured than Halstead up until a couple of fairly basic errors. Overall I wasn't sure about yesterdays performance, we just seemed to struggle to create any clear cut chances, or put them under real pressure. We do knock the ball around well though and the players cannot be faulted, they gave 100 percent in difficult circumstances.

The heat must have been a major factor yesterday. The humidity made it difficult to walk around let alone play football.
