Didn't GT make a cheeky bid for him when Swindon were having their last meltdown?

Hello, hibs fan here, hope you don't mind me posting but just wanted to let yous know that Collins has rented out his house and certainly seems as if he is moving south. Missed some absolute sitters for Hibs this season, expected more but definitely hasn't been played the way he is supposed too. Hope he gets goals for your club as I'm sure he's a good player really and has already proved that for his age in england

Would be ironic if we finally get a striker to replace James Collins and it's James Collins.

I would say Collins coming back here is highly unlikely . A fee ( substantial) would be required, his wage demands would be high and I'd imagine he would be looking at a higher level than league two.

There are rumours building on this. Having never replaced Collins in many peoples opinion we might be replacing him with him!!! £125000 as a fee I've read too. Spending money!! Oh my. I think if goldson and Bradshaw signs we're going the right way for a decent div 2 side.

I would imagine Boy Wonder is referring to Shrewsbury Town Chief Executive Matt Williams. I Hope this is of some assistance to you.

If he does come back I only hope that this time he realises that he is signing for the right STFC and stays!

Collins coming back is a possible. Town spending £125,000 on him is just not going to happen

He got his head turned by di Canio (sp?) and went without a seconds thought which leaves a sour taste. will he come back after the abuse he got on his return?
I don't want him back, he wasn't that good he just had decent service.
I certainly wouldn't want to pay a 6 figer sum for him, I would much prefer a promising player from none league or 2.

i am thinking good old roland has a modest war chest which 2 previous incumbents chose not to use or may have been prevented from using. somewhere about £150k. well done roland for resiting the temptations of tongan shiraz and lithuanian sparkling port.
floreat salopia!

If we do spend money this window then the fans who all slagged off the chairman last season need to take a long look at themselves.

For me, it isn't that he went that's up to him and good luck but it's the way he did it. He kept GT hanging on, not returning phone calls, etc., until mid to late June leaving us with not a lot of choice for a replacement. To me, very unprofessional. I certainly won't give him any abuse if he returns to be honest I am not just that bothered until he gives me plenty of goals to be pleased about.
He will be judged on how he does. A lot on here thought Eaves was the answers last season and .........

Because fingers were being pointed at him for being tightfisted and deliberately taking the club down.
