Could be good news for the Creditors, if they get some money back! About as likely as winning the Nigerian Lottery without buying a ticket, although some people think it's possible. Don't be such a sceptic, Neil! Stranger things have happened. For example, just the other day I discovered that I had a Nigerian branch to my family. Not only that, but the last member of that branch of the family has recently died leaving a substantial fortune which I shall be inheriting just as soon as the Nigerian lawyers process my bank details. Sent them yesterday, so shouldn't be too long! Extremely good timing too, as it means that I will have some readies to use for wining and dining the bored housewife who contacted me by way of a pop-up message as I surfed some torrent sites on the web yesterday. Very fortunate to find a woman desperate to meet me for sex, and I hadn't even realised that there were any blonde Americans with pornstar looks living in this small city in Japan. And all I need to do is join this adult social network. So you see, miracles can happen

Reading Bulls banter today, I don't think anyone has a clue where this farce is going now. It seems to me it is becoming a charade of smoke and mirrors.

Smoke and mirrors sums it up nicely. That and a touch of fantasy thrown in.

Hereford play two divisions below the conference. They have one point from 3 games. They are due to go bust on September 1st - less than two weeks. They just lost away at Dorchester, with 60 ish Hereford fans in a sub 500 crowd... And this is what one of their fans said... Was very positive despite the wrong result on this occasion. Still expect a play off push at the least. The sickener was the Shrewsbury result. It went round that they'd lost so the away end was in good spirits. Then two minutes later that they'd won so everyone went away p**sed off after what had been a pleasing Hereford performance. Suffice to say - they got totally flamed by their fellow fans, including some good lower league loyalty. Past caring about Shrewsbury and all who play them. All I wish to say about them is that I hope they stay safe and nothing like this happens to them. These are the badlands for football: Us, Wrexham, Chester, Telford, Northwich, Newport, a leyline of doom. Stay safe Salop.

Read that first post as well and wondered what that guy had been smoking. Play off push with a winding up petition due to be heard yet again in a couple of weeks with the CVA rejected?

Does this mean if they don't sell any season tickets before 1 September they can then blame the fans for the demise of the club?

HUFC's ground has a capacity of just under 6,000. This was more than enough when they were in the Conference where a capacity of 4,000 is required. The club's now in the Southern League Premier where the capacity is 1,950. Due to safety issues, the stadium capacity is restricted to 1,000 until the end of the month at least. With attendances of 500 to 600, this is more than enough. If the club last the season but are relegated then the capacity drops to just 1,300. The ground needs a lot of work doing to and is far to big for their needs. Of course, if it was capable of being redeveloped it could be worth millions. I came across this www.herefordunited.co.uk/news/article/aylestone-park-update-230513-833889.aspxIs this what's behind all the smoke and mirrors?

Latest development. A couple of our "fans" have suddenly decided to set up some new companies.
AFC Hereford LTD, Hereford United Football Club 1915 LTD, Hereford Bulls Football Club Limited, Hereford United Football club Limited. Both fans are well in with the regime at Edgar Street.
No idea as of yet what they are up to, but September the 1st is D Day for us. Must be some connection.

I often look at Hereford and wonder where Shrewsbury would be had it not been for an owner who realised how important a new stadium was for the club and actually did something about it rather than constantly blaming the stadium for the failings of the Club. However much some may hate Hereford the similarities between the Club's,the communities they represent aren't that different, we even owe a significant part of our history too the same man. Edgar Street in the condition it's been for the last 10-15 years would be a problem for whoever uses it as a home ground it's time to forget Edgar Street and let it rust away for good with it's owners. It will only continue to hinder progress. If it's too big you still have the cost too maintain it. And it is too bad a condition to provide the facilities that modern Stadiums need to finance themselves outside of Football (although I've had a cracking New Years eve party there) The Phoneix Club should count it's blessings make a clean break with a new club , new Stadium and management structure.Whats too lose?

There is one big major differnce being that Hereford United never owned their own ground so have never had a salable asset. Shrewsbury did and we owe that to the foresight of the clubs custodians and the council many decades ago! Herford lost 2-1 yesterday at home to Redditch in front of 617

Court hearing on the winding up order adjourned (7 days) for a fourth time................how much more grief are the HUFC supporters going to have to endure?

You get the feeling HUFC 1939 will survive. The adjournement possibly suggests their is money there, and interestingly the adjournement was requested by Foyles lawyers!

a look at the HUFC site. They charge the 19 year to 60 year olds £10 for entry, with a £5 concession for 14 to 18 year olds and the over 60s. Kids under 14 get in for free if with an adult. So far, attendances for home games seem to average about 550. Being generous, I can't see how they'd take much above £4,000 at the gate. There's little advertising revenue if any at the ground apparently and no sponsor yet they seem to have a playing squad of nearly 30 playing full-time. Gate receipts clearly can't cover the wages of the players, the management team, expenses, rent, rates, insurance, maintenance and so on. How can they do it except through loans which will plunge them further into debt?

I suppose they are banking on the missing 1000 or so coming back at some point.

Unless a rich benefactor steps in, it is now just a matter of time before they go under.

A Shawbury United win in the replay will see them joining Market Drayton in the same round as Hereford!! Unfortunately the First Qualifying round has already been drawn but as the Second qualifying round will be regionalised with hopefully all in the West Midlands section their is a good chance of them meeting.

Here they go again. Their captain has left by mutual consent. Looks like the players haven't been paid their wages for August and some have been evicted from their lodgings as they haven't paid their rent according to rumours reported on Bulls News bullsnews.blogspot.co.uk/

You seriously expect them to be still be going by then?? Hereford are drawn to play the mighty Ellistown & Ibstock United F.C. on the 13th - £3,000 for just being in it - if they make that and win and draw Market Drayton cannot lose and it's a a good draw even with the state the Hereford are in: 1. If Hereford make it it will be a cash boost for the Club if they play them and have a good chance of winning the fixture. 2. If Hereford fold after the draw is made they may get a bye to the 3rd qualifying round or play Ellistown & Ibstock United F.C. Who play at the lowest level possible. And then on to being one round away from Conference Club's or two from Round 1 potentially meeting L1 & L2. Market Drayton V Sheff United anyone?

How long can this charade go on for?!
The current business needs to fold and die, and the fans can then get on with forming a phoenix club.
Alas it seems the fans are divided and not sure what to do. The whole thing is a mess.
Shows how fortunate we are with the stability of Shrewsbury Town FC!

It's torture for the clubs supporters, but whilst those in charge are keen to try and keep it going and whilst there are some creditors (like Foyle) who see a reasonable possibility they will receive what is owed, the saga will continue!
You have to appreciate that most creditors priority is what is owed to them and not the football club in Hereford or it's supporters, and for the current club to go under means they lose what is owed to them!
Whether it is with a phoenix club starting debt free or the current club? a Football club in hereford will rise from the ashes one day albeit it may be the distant future!

The Conference administrators seem to they appear pretty ruthless with Club's who cannot get their house in order. But a league will then take the Club on. Whether its the original one or a Phoneix Club whatever version of Hereford they get it will raise the interest in that league while they are a member. Some leagues may only require you to pay a bond, meet ground criteria and fulfill a fixture. If the cannot they will kick them out too.
The FA though are partly to blame for the trouble Club's got into due to it's ITV digital fiasco, so they may have a guilty conscience when it comes to handing out punishment.

Hereford just signed up a Maltese U19 international ! The Steve Vaughan conection seems alive and kicking in the background! They've also signed a Northern Ireland U19 player and brought in Delroy Gordan, a 30 year old CB from Nuneaton on loan. They could put two teams out with the players signed up. There's no way that the gates could support that number. The club have tweeted that the winding up order will be settled before Monday's High Court hearing due to new investment. I seem to have heard that one before. The hearing seems to be over some £300,000 of debt owed to the former manager, his assistant, HMRC and the printers. Others may have added their claims since.
