Feel sorry for Chester, but they were the architects of their own downfall by opting to remain part time.
And yet now they are in the Conference North they go full-time!

If they survive yet another winding-up petition then I shall cease to refer to them as the bull-buggerers and instead call them the coffin-dodgers. They are a shambles and should be killed off. The denizens of Heferod could then start a phoenix club and prove that they actually want and deserve a football club there.

Obviously dont know the full in's and out's but on the face of it you cant see how they are going to have a future.
For starters, they keep going on about this fresh investment but as far as I can see its being used to pay off debt (and only the immedite debt), not actually invest in the club as such. With them losing money on a regular basis and fans starting to talk of boycots against Keyte then you cant see how they will turn things around.

I am not sure I ever remember the winding up petition coming from an ex manager.
That will be tasty if they ever face each other again.

I can never understand people wanting the demise of our local rivals. I'd much rather go to a game against, Wrexham, Hereford, Chester etc, with some atmosphere, than play Stevenage or Dagenham who will bring a mini bus full of fans. There are idiots at every club, including ours, but also many genuine fans, who just want to see a good local derby. Maybe some of you think we can play on our own?

We could discuss whether Hereford are/have been local rivals for ages. They've not been at or above our level for that many seasons in our history, which is one factor IMO. I am neutral about their plight; its totally self induced: GT admits he wasn't very suited to being a Chairman but he must seem like a business genius compared to the current incumbent at ES. I don't miss my visits to Edgar Street at all.

Chester (and me) are hoping Hereford go bust before the Conference deadline for them to sort out their debts.

Hereford are meant to be announcing their new 'investors' tomorrow with the current chairman David Keyte retaining day to day running of the club which hasn't gone down well with the few supporters they've got left. Apparently the new investors will be property developers from London and aren't interested in getting involved in the football side of the business, go figure that one out!

Expect Edgar Street to be turned into a supermarket or flats within the very near future then.

It really is a slow and duel death for them. They can stall all they want but liquidation is the inevitable outcome.
Time the fans bit the bullet and started their own club

Bulls Banter is interesting reading at the moment, another delay on the announcement of the mysterious 'new investors' with no timeframe on any more announcements as to what exactly is going on there... to say the Bulls fans are getting a little restless is a understatement with the Conference AGM fast looming and the club have to ensure all their debts are paid by then or they will be kicked out...

The pantomime season seems to have arrived early in that particular shire.

Dead man walking.
The greatest danger will be losing the stadium to developers before they can reform.

Dead man walking. The greatest danger will be losing the stadium to developers before they can reform. The Ground is owned by the Council and leased to the Club on long at present . As I understand it these leases lapse if HUFC go into Administration and then what happens is their decision.
Sensibly , one of the first things their new Trust did was to file an Asset of Community Value (ACV) notice so that the impact on the community will need to be a factor in that decision.
This will also impinge on any plans the new investors might have - something the current board criticised the Trust for accusing them of potentially losing them investors. It may well be the one thing that saves the ground from total loss to the City.

Being through it ourselves, I do hope Hereford see it through. Again like a poster above said any club regardless of who they are should not see days like Hereford are. Torquay did, who back a few years ago were like Hereford are to you now to us, and that was still a sad sight. Saying that I have no idea what the history is between you guys..?

I wish Hereford and their fans every success in saving their club. Its always a sad situation when a club is on the brink, and whilst some on this board might wish them ill, just think how you would feel about Salop if they were in the same situation.

Worrying times indeed for the Bulls. Who are these "investors?". What are their intentions? They don't seem interested in the football side of things at all. I think Bulls supporters need to prepare to take over the club to avoid a complete collapse.
Any road up, good luck to them. Desperate state of affairs.

Like most of the later posters on this thread I have a lot of sympathy for their loyal fans, quite simply they decided to support their local football club instead of taking the easy arm chair Sky Sports-Premier League route, the same as most who post on here.
Just have a horrible feeling for The Bulls that with the new "investors" allegedly being a London based property company and with no interest in the football side, hence leaving Keate in charge as so called "Chairman",that its all going to go very badly wrong.
I think that we can all recall incidents were the ground and the football club where split into seperate entities, and then what happened to the football club?...add to the fact that Shedgar St has a brand new retail development at one end of the ground and planning permission has been granted to Sanctuary Housing to build houses and flats on the Merton Meadow Car Park at the other end and you can see were this is going to end...very sad indeed

I've seen this sort of "investment" before. They look for sports clubs in trouble, (I know a classic case outside football, it's housing there now), then use their expertise and money to give false hope, before making a financial killing at the expense of the club.
