the last two home games would have convinced a few more to renew but I still expect it to be a lower total than this season no matter which league we are in.

I cant see the price going up on April 8th. Why would anyone commit not knowing what league we are going to be in.People swallowed the spin from RW last season and bought season tickets on the basis of that promise that Championship Football was within reach. What hopes and aspirations has RW rolled out this time? According to Jayne Bebb season ticket sales only 60 down from this stage last season, are there any who have not renewed their ST yet from this message board? Not me.

I haven't renew and I am very unlikely to do so. There are many reasons for this decision the fact I have enjoyed the match day experience less and less over the last two season is just one of them. This season for the first time since I was playing I would have saved money by paying for individual games rather than buying a season ticket.

I gave Bradford City a miss two weeks ago and was very surprised how easy it was. Didnt even listen to Radio Shropshire. I wont renew my season ticket despite having one for many years. RW stated that they were targetting The Championship and brought in a load of poor loan signings to achieve this. To sit and watch , quite possibly a similar team next season is not a consideration for me. That is not to say that I might pop down for occasional games but I can find better uses for my time and money.

One of the most telling pieces of information to emerge from the Club's 2013 Accounts was the figure of c. £460,000 as the income from season ticket sales.
Last year RW said that we had sold 2159 STs by the close of the early bird offer (a drop from 2325 for the previous year).
The average ticket income per STH per match for the current season is just £9.25 (assuming that no more STs were sold up to 30 June 2013)
In my opinion it's impossible to compete effectively in League One on that level of income from a key source, so if we retain our League One status ( and I really hope we do)i 2014/15 will be another miserable struggle.
On the other hand,if we do suffer relegation, there are so many poor teams in League Two that it really will pay to select games carefully.
Fans are right to point to our financial stability. However don't carried away with the idea that there's £1.2M tucked away in the bank to invest in strengthening the squad. Every Business needs a contingency fund to meet unexpected events (like a debtor defaulting), and £0.45M is the advance payment which early-bird STH have paid to the Club. That's to pay wages, not to invest in a transfer fee.
I will miss watching Woods and Goldson's progress ( although I'm not convinced they wil both be here in August). I will miss Weale and Jacobson's professionalism (but I expect them to move on). I don't have much attachment to the rest. I have no idea where Jackson will find strikers on the budget with which he will have to operate.
I haven't renewed.

After 18 years not renewing either. Clincher for me is the Chairmans constant refusal to address the fans and tell us what's happening. If he can't be bothered why should I
Also whether we stay up or go down it looks like Jackson will be stopping on which would suggest another poor season ahead with low quality entertainment. Will still attend odd games but not worth the season ticket investment

Me and my lad have not renewed so that is 12 from this thread.
I have been reliably informed the 1.3 million is currently down to £700,000 so I think STFC are heading for a difficult and challenging period.
I will still attend games but my thinking is to leave the option open as to how frequently I attend. For me the cost is not really an issue anyway, although losing my seat possibly is!

Worrying trend on this thread. I did renew, as my brother and two mates on the same row did, but was pretty close not to the first time in 14 years. I don't really go to away games so much any more so with the home games being my main fix, it still made sense for me to Early Bird it.
I cant see there being many people who never had a ST before who would get one next season on the basis of the football this season!

Well that's not the figures the chairman was popping out on Wednesday... I recognise 1.9 mill but not 1.3 or 700k although they are not far off. I'm being fairly pedantic though as the figures we were told were also from the chairman just not quite what you had put and not off by much.

Chairman said we now had 600-700k in the bank but would be building that back up to a million.
In order to build cash reserves back up and keep them up, you either increase income (hmmmmm) or reduce spending.

We could still be the richest club to get relegated from league 1

My father, brother and myself are not renewing feeling let down by the club/chairman this season. Will still go to a lot of games but with me working shifts the advanced ticket scheme works out much better for me too.

Me and my mate have not renewed, although we have been STH's for years. Not saying we won't go, but will pick our games, and go away more often. Looking forward to Tranmere more than any home game during the last 6 months or so.

Not renewed for the 1st time in 20 years. Fed up with the continual crap that the chairman spouts about wanting championship football and then providing no investment to enable that to be achieved, but also the fact that I cannot continue to watch unfit, out of form loan signings masquerading as STFC footballers. Give me a team of OUR players, who care about the club, then I might attend some games next season, but certainly won't be all of them

Fed up of being misled by the board and watching a team who has little connection to the club and feels like a get fit exercise for their parent club However I did cave in and buy one, amazing that I can hand over £285 for something that p!sses me off so much

I had a meeting with Roland Wycherley last week, and was assured he is aware now with hindsight the club has made mistakes and is determined to put it right. His intention is to remain as Chairman for the next 2 to 3 seasons. After long consideration and on the basis of what RW had to say I renewed my season ticket late on Friday, although my lad has not renewed as he will be unable to attend many Shrewsbury games next season through work, but it does give an opportunity to share the ticket. Keeping the seat was one reason to renew. (Seeing my wife draw up a list of DIY jobs might have had something to do with it as well lol)
I expect attendances will drop by about 1000 next season, but hopefully by no more. We have one of the most important close seasons regarding decision making at STFC, even if we produced an unlikely escape from relegation!

I had a meeting with Roland Wycherley last week Really? Yes, I wrote him a letter on the day of Mike Jacksons Q&A listing reasons why I felt the club had let down it's fanbase and I was seriously considering not renewing my ST, and then at the Q&A stated to M J that he was answering questions that RW should answer. The following morning I had a phonecall from RW which lasted about 15 minutes resulting in him inviting me for coffee and to discuss further. One of the points in my letter was a request to address the fans which in fairness he did do at the Supporters Parliament!
