Intresting debate over the Swansea game Prices, and debate as to in this current economic climate if its putting people attending the game. Thought an intresting straw poll would be to see if B and wide it was going to have that much of an effect... or will lots still be going?
Will leave it up to the weekend.

thats the point there are people with views like yours and then people who say the cost is to high for a Swansea Reserve team when there are three games in a week at home?
Hence the poll to see if its the driving factor or not

Nope, too high price and League Cup doesn't really interest me.
If was £8 maybe I'd go, season ticket holders (like me) should get some type of discount.

Giving it a miss. Just think the league cup has been so devalued with sides putting out weakened sides it's not really a meaningful competition any more.
Fully expect Swansea to put out a reserve side as most premier and championship sides do, so not really keen to pay full price for that standard of game.

Will go but only because I'm going with my dad, wouldnt go on my own and if I wasnt a STH I would probably have to sacrifice the Crewe or Swindon match to attend the Swansea game, any non ST Holder who is shelling out to go to all 3 home games deserves a medal in my opinion, especially if we have to put up with some of the dross dished out from the last 2 away games.

Though I don't entirely agree with the pricing I will be there along with Ben - my gripe isn't about the pricing as much as it is with the man who sets it, time to go RW.

They could be paying you £10 to go and I doubt you'd make an appearance. Will be there, have enjoyed our fixtures against Swansea in the past, and hope this one may be as memorable. However, I'm away for much of the season, so tend to take every opportunity to go. I have every sympathy with ST holders and regulars who decide to give it a miss due to the pricing.

Far from agree with the pricing but I think I'll be there since my dad wants to come to this match.
Attendance will be less than 5,000 imo.

Nope could afford it - however combining factors dictate that I don't think I would get value for money so will take the chance of missing this one.

Time we drove out RW over this pricing debacle. Charging regular prices to watch a side three leagues above us is criminal. If we do burn Roland at the stake can we be sure the next bloke won't leave us in the same mess as virtually all of our rivals/neighbours? If all we have to moan/worry about is sensible pricing then I'd rather we stick with the 'devil' we know.

S/T holder for 15 years and travel to most away games including friendlies even once evev travelled to Sc***horpe for 1 round in the JPT! Wont be going not due to the price which I could afford but solely due the clubs attitude (RW) towards loyal fans especially those less fortunate

Is it right to blame RW for the price of tickets to this game? I thought that both teams discussed the options/price structure before it was ratified by the League. Agree that the price is too high, but being a STH i have already paid for the games either side, so can find the money for the Swansea game. Altogether i will be paying approx £46 for the three matches, as oppossed to approx £58 for non STH,s.On the other hand, if we are to buy ourselves a good quality midfielder, were do you think the money will come from.

If bought in advance 3 games non ST holder 3x17=£51 (too much too spend in 8 days so I'd do a deal for 3 games for £40 and atleast 20% off for ST holders.

Why should only ST holders get a discount? They already have the benefit of cheaper games throughout the season. Why do they need more benefits?

Why do they need more benefits? exactly its nice how ST holders think they are more important than anyone else. in my opinion ST holders are more likely to turn up whatever price take a look in the papers, on tv, in your junk mail wherever you look its always non customers that get offered the better deal, why should town be different ? the only thing you can expect as a ST holder is a book of raffle tickets to sell at xmas town should be offering something along the lines of buy a season ticket this week get the swansea game free

Not a bad idea that Pilch...
There was a question in the Q and A a long while back asking why all the non customers got the deasl for cheap tickets, to which the responce was dont worry the ST will benifit from some deals at some point
That was about 2-3 years ago, and I cant recall ONE time that being a ST holder has got you a reduced price for tickets to a cup/Pre Season match?

No chance at those prices.
Yes they're a premiership club but a very small unestablished premiership club who will more than likely play a reserve side.

Why do they need more benefits? exactly its nice how ST holders think they are more important than anyone else. Not a case of feeling more important at all. Its an argument that people will never agree on. Casual fans will say we get a discount at the beginning and they have to pay more per game. Whereas season ticket holders will say we are committing ourselves for an entire season whilst casual fans can pick and choose what games they go to Both type of fans are important to the club Anyway, back to the thread, can we have an undecided option and the performance this Saturday may influence the decision?

No. Not going.
2 reasons. 1. Am cash strapped. 2. Agree with others that this competition has been completely devalued and needs binning.

I'd have half considered it - but certainly not at such a price.
Take take take as usual from STFC.

Yes, I'll be there.
I don't beg for discount in the shops or pubs I frequent so don't get why the football should be any different?
