kieranSHREWS was on the pitch. Pathetic There was that many people on the pitch how could you tell who was on or off it? I wouldn't be surprise if you said i was on the pitch in which i wasn't. I know what people are like on here shouting things off and pointing the finger without knowing the full story.

I really don't understand the need for fighting. It's pathetic.
I remember the Conference Play-offs when we beat Barnet on penalties and there was the pitch invasion at the end, our fans went to the away end and shook hands with Barnet supporters over the fence. That day both sets of supports were brilliant. Today, disgusting. Why the big difference in behaviour?
The lot of them should be banned for life.

Surely it must be easy to identify the tiny minority through CCTV and ticket allocations? Hefty bans would be justified because these people were an embarrassment today. Not just to the club but to themselves, if they had the brains to know it. They're not needed or wanted so let's get rid.
Good work by the Oxford keeper to get rid of the f***wit in the Oxford shirt on the pitch. Didn't see his push on Smith but I hope it was CCTV'd. These incidents are getting a bit too regular, like the Chesterfield fans attacking the Bury keeper the other week.
Bans, fines, criminal charges - whatever it takes to get rid of the social inadequates.

Surprise surprise hooligans sticking together Running on a football pitch makes you a hooligan? Unbelievable. What's unbelievable is that you'd do it when you were warned repeatedly not to and we didn't have anything much to celebrate anyway. You can't complain if the club does follow through with a ban.

I dont think the people who run on the pitch were hooligans tbh i think just a handful of fans got a bit excited. I think some people should google the word hooligan. I think Keiran made a good point with that pic from the gay meadow, everyone who went on the pitch that day are not looking for trouble and the same happened today in alot less number.

Think the powers that be at the club must be looking into the trouble we've had this season and looking at possible actions. One could be use of CCTV images to identify people who went on the pitch and issue banning orders
Unfortunately such orders tend to hit those who get a bit over excited, as much as they do genuine hooligans, but anyone going on the pitch needs to remember it's an offence and can lead to a court appearance. Safest bet is not to do it - if you do don't wine about the consequences

They certainly were over-excited, like kids coming out of play school. You don't need a dictionary, they looked stupid because it was. The Gay Meadow comparison is ridiculous. That was the last ever game at the stadium. This wasn't even the last game of the season. Poor excuse.

Interesting subject pitch invasion.
I myself went on the pitch "after" the Barnet game at home.
The photos on here too clearly indicate mass fans on the pitch, however there is a difference those fans did not invade the pitch during play.
Bizzy did and he rightly was held to account for his actions, the people today went either to the Oxford fans or rans to the west and south stand before the 90 mins were up.
I believe that they too should be held to account, Kieranshrews and the others must accept the potential consequences of their folly should the Club decide to act.

To be fair I think the majority in 18/19 voiced their displeasure at the morons. At best there were 10-20 idiots who can't hold their ale who I'd like to think we'd not see again (wishful thinking though). There was aggro behind us before kick off with what seemed to be a dispute over seats, and the same half a dozen were involved at half time. To make things worse they were all back for the second half which caused incredulity around us. We asked the stewards and were told no punches could be seen on CCTV so they couldn't throw anyone out, which was, frankly, laughable. Those running on the pitch to the Oxford fans should get life bans. They're not welcome at our club

I sat in block 19 today and saw faces i havnt seen for years, surprised nobody has mentioned it but they were our EBF element, hence all the goading ,argy bargy etc. They must be out of practise to, dont think the idea is to hit each other while doing your mini pitch invasions, your top boys wont be impressed as were nobody else in the west stand.
Thought the stewarding was poor at best but that doesnt justify some of the mindless behaviour that was on display egged on by some of Oxfords own numptys.
The games not the reason they come to the game simple as but doesnt mean thats the case with 90% of blocks 18/19 so lets go easy on the finger pointing towards our genuine followers.
I believe there was a familiar face at the heart of the trouble in block 18 which was downright ugly and embarrasing, im sure more will come to light but for now thought anything that draws the attention away from the game the way it did cant be good.

Agree poolie - the support from blocks 18/19 has been great lately. What happened today was a bad, but minor, blip and doesn't taint the vast majority.

Surprise surprise hooligans sticking together Not at all just giving an honest opinion, some things did get a little out of hand today but as for naming people directly without any proper proof is a joke. Some people occasionally get excited when we score. In my opinion I just think our vocal blocks are just in the wrong place and going to attract this type of thing whenever we play a large away following. This is the clubs fault for not organising it after the move. An ideal situation would have been our vocal support came from the South stand or blocks 16 and 17 and 18 with 19 only used as an overspill when all other tickets are sold just like block 1 and 2 were. The club never thought is through enough for the fans hence why this thing happens everytime there is a large following.

I was in the East Stand today. Thank god.
The scenes were ugly, but a lot worse happens at other grounds.
Having said that, something does need to do something before it does get as bad.
If a club who are known for violence came, then I'm sure they'd all learn the hard way. Though, none of us want to see that!
I hope the club stick to their word that Ryan said today, and anyone intruding gets a life ban.
