sitting in blocks 18/19 is a joy, proper fans they know every single player on the pitch they are very passionate about the club and they sometimes get a little bit carried away with the banter.Today the attmosphere was excellent i even heard fans singing in other parts of the ground which if would have happened v accrington may have driven us on to 3 points. When sitting in other areas of stadia i hear things like which one is harrold or who is our goalkeeper or even what colour do we play in, something you would never hear in 18/19 ,although we get labbled the retards .

So fighting in the stands is acceptable because they know the names of the players?

'Got a bit carried away with the banter'? That's like saying Fred West got a bit carried away with the gardening and home renovations.

The tossers who were fighting/running on the pitch should all get long bans. They don't just give the sensible fans of blocks 18 and 19 a bad name they give every single Shrewsbury fan a bad name.
The twonk at the end in the red shirt needs a life ban.

Personally, it's always the same old people who are genuinely making Shrewsbury fans a bad name.. And they're hardly getting punished for it. And the vast majority of the Town fans in Block 19 are just their for laugh, and for a Sing along whilst watching the game.

Yet when the entire stadium was singing "Graham Turner's Barmy Army" block 19 ignored it and started their own chant?

Yes so called fans who turn up 2 or 3 times a season who spoil it for the the proper football fan who actually enjoys sitting in that part of the stadia to watch the match.Earlier in the thread all who sit in blocks 18/19 were refered to as retards.

The twonk at the end in the red shirt needs a life ban. All the stewards did was throw him out, without taking any details whatsoever! How is the club going to punish him if they don't know who he is? A police van should have been outside the ground to put them all in. when my 63yr old dad politely asked a steward why he was not arrested or details taken my dad got told to sod off and allow us to do our! A strong letter of complaint will be coming the towns way

I think a few banning orders will be handed out, the club isn't stupid they have run on the pitch and there is hi tech cctv in the ground.

Talking to somebody on the way back to the car he reckoned it was lads from the Ludlow area who went on the pitch,(allegedly regulars on the Ludlow bus though I stand corrected if untrue)the same lads who were supposedly arguing throughout with fans of the same team but from a different area of the county - if true then it makes things even more pathetic than they appeared at the time.

To be frank I would like more robust action from the Stewards.

I left my seat at half time and popped down the front to check on members of my family who had tickets for Block 18. They seemed o.k. and came down from their seats to have a chat with me. While having a chat i saw a full bottle of Coke hurled from somewhere in Block 19 sail through the air and luckily fall , harmlessly, between seats. The bottle missed a young father and his son. What got me was that the bottle was thrown high into the air into a crowded area. If it had hit someone then serious injury would have resulted, or worse. What kind of thoughtless bell- end does this, with no regard for the outcome.
The other thing that annoyed me was that, if you invade the pitch, then you are committing an offence which should be dealt with by a Magistrates Court. Bizzylad was brought before Magistrates at Crewe for his small transgression. This lad was obviously out to make trouble, but i saw him marched to the gates and just thrown out. Why not detain him, get him charged, and hopefully served with a ban.
The good thing about the game was that 99% of the fans behaved in a grown up and sensible manner. BUT, i would happily pay a small increase on my season ticket if it meant the games would be "POLICED" at a reasonable level. A big question is, if we employ so many "stewards" who have undergone training in crowd control or whatever, how come we allow fans into the ground who may cause trouble, who are either Drunk, or Stoned out of their neanderthal little minds. And you don't need training to spot who they are either.

I have a lot to say About our own moronic fans that I hope the club will soon be banning!
However I pit this here for comment. At the end of the game our morons were doing there thing, and a Oxford fan got on and ran up to ben smith on half way... He went for smith but there keeper pulled him away and sent him packing..
Now as he has near assulted a player on the pitch you would think out stewards sprang into action and apprehended the goon. But know he casually walked all the way off the pitch and into there end and presumably home !!!
If this does not 100% confirm that we have the worst stewards and security in the football league I don't know what does.
Not sure if this is in b And a anywhere, but did the rest of you see this shambles???

Agreed with the sentiment from most. I couldn't care less if they go to every game and know every player, but if they mindlessly fight and bring a bad name to the club i hope they are given banning orders, and don't come near the club again.
It clearly is a very sad life they lead if they gain pleasure from having fights with people.
As said, not all members of blocks 18 and 19 are idiots, of course not, but was there trouble any where else?
Well done to all the Shrewsbury fans who booed these clowns, and lets hope we never see any of them again. Shameful

it does have its own thread, but to be fair, the stewards had there hands full with our bell ends, which considering the game and result, you would not have expected!!

He then just casually walked back to the oxford stand with no one really noticing him. not good at all.
