Can't see a replay happening, sadly. Wycombe would not have been so accommodating, has anybody seen their penalty against Crewe, a definite dive for me. Link------> Wycombe Penalty? 1m 15 in They seem to get the decisions I've just watched that and it's a 100% certain dive, and by the same player who scored that 'goal'

Yeah that makes it quits now!
I'm not saying it makes it right, just confirming he dived! You can just see in the clip him waving at the ref saying no. Then why did he fall to the floor then?! Cheat!

This annoys me from Ainsworth. He's their captain, he's telling the ref it wasn't a penalty, but he has no objection to it being scored. It's all for show to cover up his shameless bit of cheating.

Ha yeah, that's a good point! He should have told their striker to miss if he felt that passionate!

I reckon he's telling the ref it wasn't a penalty as he thought s**t, im gonna get booked for such a pathetic attempt at diving. I'll bet he and Wycombe in general cant believe their luck when rather than the rightful booking, the ref pointed to the spot. The ref awarded crewe at dodgy peno in that game too, which the spanners proceeded to miss, so maybe as refs do, was trying to even thing up. what goes on in their heads 'll never know. Wycombe, more than any other team have benefitted from some poor referring decisions this season. As ive said before, lets hope that comes back to bite em on their asses soon, hopefuly at Bury.

Lord Ha HA, you saying that the ref should even a poor mistake uo with a deliberate mistake?? it wouldn't be the first time if he had chosen to do so, but he had chances to do it and didn't - let's just hope we can laugh about it at the end of the season instead of worrying

Pay a bit of attention to the above please. In the spirit of the idea of ref's evening things up a bit I would've hoped that the Wycombe ref might've evened thinks up a bit up for us. What ever way you want to interpret that is up to you.

This thread is becoming pathetic, since when did two wrongs make a right, and some want a ref to deliberately cheat.
It was a mistake one of many during the season, one that went against the town where others have been in the towns favour.
If the town fail to get promoted although some may see the Wycombe game as the obvious reason we failed, in my opinion it is very minor the real problem would be that over 46 games we just haven't been good enough particularly in central mid field.

I'd write to the FA with your allegations if I was you, because basically you are accusing refs of cheating. I hope you have proof.

I think you are right, pointing to one mistake and blaming that is daft over the course of the season. But despite our mistakes, we may have gone up had it not been for that linesman. I can cope with the fact that we make mistakes, but it is certainly more galling when someone not connected with us makes a mistake that costs us. I think thats what is annoying people about it.

The point you are missing is that mistakes are made by the officials in each game, some go for the town others go against the town, many on this thread only consider those decisions which have gone against the town and forget decisions that benefitted the club.

I'd write to the FA with your allegations if I was you, because basically you are accusing refs of cheating. I hope you have proof. You really haven't grasped the argument here. Yes referees and linesmen do make mistakes and that is only natural. For the umpteenth time, here we are talking about a linesman who did not make a mistake. He said he saw something which has been proved he could not have seen. Economical with the truth is equivalent to lying or cheating. Call it what you will.

You are mistaken I have grasped your argument most clearly, a linesman decides that regardless of the situation decides for some reason to deliberately signal for a goal even though he can't see the goal line. The only problem is your argument is a load of b******s, he made a mistake get over it. As is said often in cricket read the scorecard

That's TWICE Ainsworth has cheated his way to a goal.
On both occasions he would have known 100% what had happened. Horrible player. As captain he could have told his team to let the opposition score from the kick off to make amends. No chance.
By the way, why isn't Bull in the League 2 Team of the Year? Top keeper.

Surely until all players hold their hands up and admit deceit you cant expect one player to do it. It's exactly the same argument as walking at cricket. Some decisions go your way others dont.
