No. Have politely declined invitations to a street party and a barbeque as I don't want to be a hypocrite. Having said that, whilst I'm a committed republican I'm not going to make a song and dance about it today - just going to find something else to do away from it all.

Having me morning fag and coffee, so had a peak cos the wife is glued to the T.V. Impressions so far; Beckhams Mrs concentrating at striking a pose, while her hubby smiles and waves to everyone. What a tit she is. Tara Palmer Tomkinson ( Rickys daughter?) making sure her nose stays on. Some fashion guru(male) wearing a see- through butchers hat type thing so you can see his bald head through it. He looks like Boy Georges' ugly brother. I could give that Julie Etchingham a good seeing to. Apart from that, everything seems cool in the world of the rich and priviledged. Is that "constructive" enough for ya!

Kate Middleton is an anagram of "naked tit model".

Love all the people who are going out of their way not to watch it.
All the people that don't care but strart threads about it. If you don't care so much funny how you even talk about it at all, even negatively.
I'm watching it by the way.
Gold bless the royals.

What a great occasion for the nation.
A working class girl from ever so 'umble mining stock is marrying into the guardians of our democracy, the royal family.
Meanwhile back in the real world...

Wish the Royal couple all the very best, but, please, lets have no more of the"working class, one of us" bulls**te. Do the Middletons live in a three bedroomed semi...NO. Council estate....NO. More likely if you called at the house you would be directed to the tradesmans entrance, 200yards round the back.
Elton John probably see's himself as Royal. He's always directing callers to his "tradesmans entrance"

As a National Trust member, I was looking forward to a quiet wander round Powys Castle. There is no escape. I learned that they have put up giant screens, so that the great unwashed can watch it there.
The remainder of the day will now be spent watching Sky Anytime.

Combination of religion, royalty and fashion makes it unwatchable for me. But know it means a lot to some people so don't begrudge the coverage on tv.
On the plus side shop lifting is incredibly easy in town today as staff in shops distracted by commenting on wedding dress and pointing out loons in union jack outfits in the mall

A straight copy/paste of my Facebook status: Whatever you may think of the Monarchy or the state of the Nation, the one thing that's actually made me feel emotional about the whole occasion is seeing so many people united in one place, at one time, to share and celebrate something, rather than to complain or vent anger. If that's the price of having a figurative head of state, it's not a great one. On a side note, surprised nobody has mentioned that she lives on the border of The Shire, and that the people seem a lot taller and less hairy-footed than you'd expect. Lucky they got rid of the Nazgul. You're easily excited, then!
