1st English Manager to get a side to the 1/4 finals! Get in. Please let them avoid another English team, if one qualifies(!), up until the final!

Wahoo! Fantastic!
As a Spurs fan, amazing.
Perhaps it's my bias, but personally I think they could cause anyone a problem at the Lane.
For a side making their debut to get through to the Quarter finals, especially after being drawn in the group with the defending champions, its a great achievement. Not quite sure when that last happened??

Any English team that enters Europe gets my full support, even a certain Northern team..... unless they are drawn against Spurs, of course. Maybe you are getting a bit worried about your own chances. Disappointed with Desailly's comment after the game, when asked if Spurs had a chance of winning the Competition. Of course they have a chance, they have just beaten the top team in Italy. Will they, probably not, but they have a chance, any team that have got this far have a chance.

Excellent job done by Tottenham. To beat the soon-to-be Italian champions over 180 minutes without conceding is quite an achievement and shows how Spurs have matured. They have as much chance of winning it as everyone else left in, bar Barcelona, I would say. It seems European football suits them - how I wish they could perform like that defensively in the Prem.
on a side note, listened to the game on 5 live and thought Green & Pleat are possibly the worst commentators ever! Talk absolute drivel!!

fair play to Spurs, and good luck to them in the next round but after watching Barca make Arsenal, probably the most technically gfifted team in the prem look like josey's giants last night, i cant see anyone else's name on the cup.
Spurs fans saying they will beat Barca are deluding themselves if they think they will get anything other than a major butt whipping from that one. I'll be cheering them on tho!

tbh getting to the last 8 at the first attempt is good enough, anything more would be a massive bonus. Shame it is extremely unlikely they'll be in it next year. Oh well, I suppose they'll be one of the favourites to win the Europa League.

The Hammers will be at their proper level playing their proper rivals, Millwall, soon enough and so the Spurs plan to demolish the olympic stadium will come to pass anyway.

My mistake, it's the TV game a week on Saturday isn't it? Anyway, good luck in the cup. Hope you win it - then the Championship might have two teams in Europe next season!

A certain red faced scotsman whose record in this competition is so comperable to Tottenhams Arthur Daley ?...NOT ! You certainly know your football and no mistake.

1st English Manager to get a side to the 1/4 finals! Pretty sure Mr Clough and Mr Saunders would have something to say about that, an I'm sure there's more out there. Unless you consider the European Cup to have been a different and inferior competition. It only accepted champions after all. Good result for Tottenham whichever way you look at it - 5th place in England taking out the leaders of Serie A can only ever be good. Although I saw Ajax hold Milan at home then they out-play them in Milan (and Ajax ain't all that good). From what I saw, Real are in a different class to Milan, but then they got trounced by Barca. It's a funny old game, but from what I've seen the Italians are really struggling at the moment.

Other English managers who have reached at least the European Cup quarter finals-Bill Nicholson, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, Don Revie, Terry Venables.
Don't let Sky and their cohorts re-write the record books.

I'm an Arsenal fan but I will be supporting Spurs. I usually can't stand them but this season they've played like Arsenal have done in the past. Good luck to them. I hope they destroy Chelsea in the semi-final. Then I suppose I'll accept a Man U title because we'll have overtaken them in the Prem.
