It's a light blue shirt with a Harry Hill collar, looks like it has never seen an iron and worst of all is the crappy clippy baddge!

I can't decide whether i like it or not. It just always comes down to that badge for me really.
I like the collars, but it's just a little basic, i think it looks better without the sponsor though.
I bet this retails at £39.99 in which case in the words of Duncan Ballantyne i 'm out.
I just want to fast forward one year on, when we can have a nice blue and amber jersey.

Well i really like it, at first i thought the England shirts were to plain but now i have the home and away one and i think its the smartest shirt iv ever owned, the collars are great and the material is nice. I like the way this is basically the same with the collar and simplicity, just in blue, which is a nice blue IMO.

My opinion, for what it's worth. I really like the one without the sponsor (even clippy doesn't bother me too much on it), and like the baggy white shorts. Those big baggy shorts and the loose-cut shirt will look silly on smaller, skinnier people though. Great for fatties like myself The greenhous logo looks crap. The away shirt is rubbish - looks exactly what it is - a ten euro amateur team shirt with town badges stuck on it.

Had a feel of one of the shirts tonight and they do feel top notch. Light with a cotton feel to them like the current England shirt.
If you were into buying something with a gross clip art lion logo on it then this could well be the shirt for you.
Just my opinion!

I totally agree about the home England shirt, once i felt it and saw it in the shop i knew i would like it. And i love it now. Hopefully i can feel the same with the Shrews one when i try one on, i do like the shade of blue - reminds me a little of the baby blue B. Rovers used when they beat us at Wembley.

[/quote My understanding was that the club are selling 125 (get it!) limited kits for £125 (get it!) without he corporate Greenhous logo. You get some add ons (game 4 two) as well. Details Im sure will appear on Shrewsweb sometime soon.

Saw someone wearing a cotton t-shirt version of the Spain top the other day and it looked great. Would be great if Joma could do a t-shirt version of this 125 kit. That I certainly would buy.

I am not buying it mainly because it is only a one season shirt and there have been too many of those in recent times. This is our fourth season at the new ground but we are on our third home shirt, not to mention all the away kits we have got through.
That added to the fact I don't want a blue and white kit. But that is my personal choice and I respect the choice of others to buy it and I will bear it for one season and hope the club keep their word to return to blue and amber next season and that we actually see kits lasting for two years, both home and away.

There are some positive comments on this but as usual the majority are negative. The badge, no amber, collar too big, not ironed ffs?! The club must dread these type of releases. We are all entitled to our opinion but can't help but think that opinions are already formed before the information is released.

The club must dread these type of releases. Interesting statement, I have not yet seen the shirt but I know I will be disappointed. It will have that awful excuse for a badge on it. It is not a Shrewsbury badge it is clip art and one which I find embarrassing. I suppose that sums up your case in point. As for the Club dreading these releases then perhaps they can strive to improve their relationship with the fan-base through better communication and dialog. Ours is a Club that has stated how important "we" the fans are yet clearly don't give a hoot for mass opinion and feeling. Thus if our Club do not enjoy these events perchance they should reason why.

I get the feeling one or two had already decided before they saw it
I quite like it actually Not sure if I'll buy it or not but I rarely do
The point is most kits were at one time there for 2 years It seems any old excuse these days and a kit is just for one season

My opinion is that it's a nice looking shirt ruined by 3 things:
1) The clip art badge. 2) The BIG Joma logo on the right breast - could this not have gone on the back? or the arm? or anywhere apart from the front of the shirt? 3) The Greenhous logo - if the £125 for a shirt with no logo on is true I'd like to make a suggestion.....With these modern stretchy football shirts - if you pull hard enough the logo will break up and you'll be able to pick it off with ease! So buy the normal priced shirt, pick the logo off, and you're left with what looks like the £125 option!

Where were the models they said would be there, I was expecting some good looking women?
I quite like it, think its a grower but then I do like the new way shirt so I'm torn cause I won't be buying both

£125 for a 'limited edition' shirt? Jesus christ what is happening to this football club!
Leicester fans had the vote on if they wanted a sponsor on there 125 year shirt, if we want it without that horrible logo were expected to cough up £125! Should be the same price as the normal shirt!
Don't actually mind the collar and materal, what I do object to is a logo that bears a lion which has nothing to do with our football club, a horrible vile tacky and cheaply produced logo!
I'm sure the people that formed this great club 125 years ago will be rolling in there graves how this club has paid its 'tribute' to 125 years of Shrewsbury Town FC with a light blue (wasn't our first kit dark blue?) over sized Joma logo with a tacky badged shirt.
If you are gonna do something like this at least make sure its a half decent effort to what you are trying to achieve.

I think i might pay something near to £125 for that shirt without the clip art lion on and the sponcers badge... that would actually be worth it...
Oh except it would not as the bloody shirt probaley only cost £20 to make and ship to the uk.....
In summary I was not going to get one before and im not now...
Not the worst looking shirt, and the idea was a decent one, but in no way is that a retro shirt... It never could be with that badge on or coperate sponcership.... A retro shirt is the sort of thing Shakey used to sell..

Mixed views on that from me, though I'll still get it. Think many may grow to like it, much like - as already said - the current England kit. However I do hope the messy looking, scruffy creases are genuinely due to them not being ironed, rather than the way its meant to look!

Undecided whether I like it or not!
It definitely looks better without the greenhous logo. Why wasn't that shipped off round the back of the shirt just below the collar....if it needs to be on! Not worth £125 though!!
Will have to see it in the flesh.

So we've got a 125 year anniversery shirt that was supposed to be a nod to our traditional old kit, yet have produced a very modern looking kit, with large corporate logos on, a poor badge in a colour we've not had before - in what way is it a memorable nod to the past??
And even the 'special' logo free top has JOMA in large letters

Only at STFC could we put a limited edition shirt out not ironed at a fashion show.A good coup would have been to put the logger heads back on for one season then guague the extra sales created.Come on Town even Bickerton would have thought of that one!!!!! Its the little details that mean so much.Bet shirts with the Loggerheads back on would have flown out the door at say 99 quid a pop. SIMPLES. : )
