The Irish only share ancestry and several millenia of history with the English. We may have minor disagreements over Cromwell and the Battle of the Boyne but our interest in this is shared. Interestingly, the 26 counties are rapidly turning brown, and many of the natives don't like it too much... I know I shouldn't rise to the bait, but 'shared history' consists of the English subjugation and exploitation of the Irish and to call the famine a 'minor disagreement' is up there with your denial of the holocaust. As you're so keen on history I'll remind you that the population of Ireland fell from 8 million to 5 million between 1845 and 1850 - 1 million dead and 2 million emigrated.

Ah, but Campo, you're missing the point! When he says 'shared history', he means 'shared skin colour'. Obviously! And as for your information, it's clearly wrong. If the Irish emigrated that means they must have been immigrants somewhere, and as everyone knows immigrant=black skin. Duhhhhh!!!! (Though it would fit with the BNP hating the Irish, which is odd as they seem to try quite hard to woo their Celtic cousins, the Welsh. More fool me for looking for intellectual consistency I suppose.) Anyway, get your facts right, you PC-liberal-stasi-type or the lads will be round you're in danger of losing your country. (Hint; last time I lost mine it was down the back of the sofa.)

Oh how I wish I'd been to a course on the Race Relations Act recently. I think I'm correct in saying The Racial Hatred Act introduced in October 1995 amends the Racial Discrimination Act, and allows people to complain about publicly offensive or abusive behaviour based on racial hatred. Unlawful behaviour is defined as public acts based on the race, colour, national or ethnic origin of a person or group of people which are likely to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate. Hmmmm.....................................now let me think Musn't mock. Leading BNP members arrested under the race laws. Just wait until the compulsory ID cards.

There cannot be too many that feel English without hesitation or deliberation in shrewsbury many have welsh roots and most if they trace thier history have saxon/french ect so on that assumption there is no true English, just a bred of this and that. Your mate is as English as you? Does he feel unambigously English with no divided loyalties whatsoever? Do others accept him as English without hesitation or deliberation? Does he feel as if Alfred, the Norman Conquest, Magna Carta, Agincourt, The Civil War etc. etc. is like his own family history? Your mate is as English as you - I doubt it! Regardless of personal anecdotes, do you feel that if the Arse fielded an all-white team many of their black fans might move onto Tottenham or Fulham, for example? Does anyone really see football as anything other than entertainment on a Winter's afternoon, and something in which it is better to participate than watch?
