ban guests.
there are only about 3/4 guest posters that contribute anything of any note.
they'll soon register.

I think Geoff needs learn that you can't go round calling people knobs....and just because he is 13 it does not mean he doesn't understand because we all know he does.
Yup Myddleshrew has shot himself in the foot abit, but we have all made posts in the heat of the moment and the lad is new to the board so cut a little slack eh people?
Cynical has the right to post on the messageboard, but his views are not welcome here, as you cannot ban him there are enough mods on here to delete his racist comments.

What an amazingly arrogant post It takes a really self-opinionated oaf to make such a broad (and inacurate) statement, and apparently present it as a fact, rather than a personal point of view. Or should we be charitable and consider it to be the stella talking

sorry, just read the thread, was a bit drunk last night.
I dont know what he posted last night but as i said it should be enough for the mods to deleate amend anything that is offensive.
I have to be honest and say that what he posts is a bit different from your average "racist" post from what ive read. More ofton than not he offers up his opinion and trys to give it some credance with some flawed argument somewhere, in this respect his posts are more intellectual, yes they may be offensive to some.
However I for one would rather battle it out with him, making it look to anyone who bothered to read the thread that cynical shrew is just not very clever, then deleate all of his threads. Its not as if he is just posting "blacks are evil" or something....
He always gives himself enough string to be hung in an argument...

Basically everyone is entitled to an opinion whether or not you agree with it is a different matter - Having said that, there is no need to write racist/abusive/hurtful/liabilous posts - the board rules clearly state that such offerings are not welcome and are not acceptable and will be removed - so moderators use your powers and delete them! It also says continous abuse of the board rules will lead to the banning of the IP - so ban it! It would be a sad day for B n A if guests were banned as the majority are amusing/entertaining and informative. I can understand why the YB doesnt accept guests but it would be a shame on here. For the record I dont actually think CS believes all this stuff he/she writes, I think its someone having a huge laugh (albeit not a funny one) at our expense!

My view on all this is don't ban him.
I honestly beleive that the guy is a wind up merchant and I am actually convinced that he does not beleive the stuff he posts, and only does it as a wind up.
And you know what..... It works because you lot can't ignore him!!! and thats why he does it!!!
We all know that nobody else on here agrees with his posts so don't rise to it. You don't have to post a reply just to prove that you are not in agreement with his statements.
Look at this thread for **** sake!!!! we are giving this guy far more attention than he deserves.
Let him post his s**t, and show himself up as the idiot that he is, but for **** sake move the spotlight away from him and then see if he continues, and I bet you he will soon give up.

chill out
mr racist must be enjoying reading this post and see some of you falling out
the simple fact is racist posts are not allowed on this board not a decision made by B&A but one set down by proboards
we have a lot of very decent guest posters on this board and we don't want any one of them to not be able to post just because of one idiot
we will catch cynical shrew watch this space in the meantime ignore him

Oh how I wish I'd been to a course on the Race Relations Act recently. I think I'm correct in saying The Racial Hatred Act introduced in October 1995 amends the Racial Discrimination Act, and allows people to complain about publicly offensive or abusive behaviour based on racial hatred. Unlawful behaviour is defined as public acts based on the race, colour, national or ethnic origin of a person or group of people which are likely to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate. Hmmmm.....................................now let me think Are you a real Stasi copper? Do the police really waste their time on such courses (yes I know they do ) I better watch my mouth or I'll be banged off to the Lubyanka Robin Page style. Betcha' can't wait for the day millions of Britons decline an ID card and you can harrass them for this reason. And who decides on public acts based on the race, colour, national or ethnic origin of a person or group of people which are likely to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate.. No thicko PeeCee PCs anyway, although their puppetmasters are the truly corrupt bunch. I'd like to know how posing a hypothetical question about fans supporting sportsmen with who they might identify off the field fits any of those categories anyhow. How about I rephrase it a little? Do you suppose the support Arsenal have amongst blacks be tempered if their team line-up resembled Everton's in the closing minutes of yesterday's derby?

Yes. Personal anecodtes about immigrant or part-immigrant mates who support the Arse are neither here nor there. No-one can deny that Arsenal have huge support amongst blacks who want to cheer on stars that are like them. Who can forget Pal-arse benefitting from a similar effect in the early nineties? And nothing at all wrong with that I say! It is perverse white liberals who seem obsessed by discounting any chauvanism from our lives. This is particularly silly when discussing grown men kicking a bag of wind about, frivolous Saturday afternoon entertainment at best. I want people like me to cheer on from the terraces, and if the stink, well that is secondary. If you don't agree with me, support the 'black' teams, or whoever, I don't mind. I just don't see how what I am say matters or is wrong.

Your mate is as English as you? Does he feel unambigously English with no divided loyalties whatsoever? Do others accept him as English without hesitation or deliberation? Does he feel as if Alfred, the Norman Conquest, Magna Carta, Agincourt, The Civil War etc. etc. is like his own family history? Your mate is as English as you - I doubt it! Regardless of personal anecdotes, do you feel that if the Arse fielded an all-white team many of their black fans might move onto Tottenham or Fulham, for example? Does anyone really see football as anything other than entertainment on a Winter's afternoon, and something in which it is better to participate than watch?

Who are you to ask whether someone has the right to feel "unambiguously English"? What exactly does that mean?
You draw upon events in our history from hundreds of years ago - events in which, incidentally, the aboriginal people of these isles had their bloodlines and genetic material mixed with a succession of invaders from as far afield as Iceland, the Mediterranean and the Slavic regions. Events which preceded our own Empirical aspirations and subsuming of lands in Africa, the Indian sub-continent and Australasia.
You don't even have the courtesy nor courage to reveal who you are and why you think you have some monopoly on being "unambiguously English" you can't even spell the word, let alone explain your bizarre concept of what it might mean. Get a life and throw your blinkers away.

Fair play Enoch, you've really surpassed yourself with this s**te. I'm beginning to see a pattern in the times you post on here, you've either come straight from a session at the local or scored you're first bag of the day. You lurch from one intellectually challenged rant to another with neither reason nor fact getting in the way. Please don't try so hard to appear cleverer than you really are, it makes you look a bit of a knob.

I would like to join in with this arguement, but now that CS has said I'm not English I'm busy packing to get my Irish Catholic arse back to Kilkenney. The Irish only share ancestry and several millenia of history with the English. We may have minor disagreements over Cromwell and the Battle of the Boyne but our interest in this is shared. Interestingly, the 26 counties are rapidly turning brown, and many of the natives don't like it too much...

Rapidly turning brown? More bullsh!t; why don't you have the courage to say what you mean instead of speaking in jerkish? It only confirms my suspicion that you, like all "English" people have as many mixed race pregenators as we all do - you just can't come to terms with it.
Wake up numbnuts - its 2004 already and you live in a multi-racial society that has the chance to be great and rejoice in its diversity. We just need to weed out the genetic throw-backs like you first. Shouldn't be too difficult to spot, knuckles dragging along the ground, anal fixation, probably featured in a few PG ads?

Does he feel as if Alfred, the Norman Conquest, Magna Carta, Agincourt, The Civil War etc. etc. is like his own family history? personally i couldn't give a toss about Alfred, the Norman Conquest, Magna Carta, Agincourt, The Civil War, what has that got to do with me? i'm 36 my mate is 38, i wsa born in shifnal he was born in london, we both have parents who were born in england, on that basis he has more right to live in this country than me? on your argument about arsenal/tottenham, no i don't think any arsenal fan would move allegancies to tottenham. how about all the little kids in croyden who loved rooney when he hit the england, team brought everton shirts with rooney of the back and supported everton, then when rooney moved to united they bought united shirts with rooney on the back and supported united? football to me and you is probably about the club but to a lot of people it's about the stars, how many little kid's wandering around with beckham madrid shirts on even know where madrid is? cyny, what's your favourite grand theft auto 3 game?
