When were they? Home - Vs Bournemouth but not sure when, am sure we lost 2-1 but the only time that happened was in 1992, and I thought I was younger than that at the time. Away - vs Walsall - 1992/93 season, we drew 1-1

My dad me down to the meadow in 1968-9? to watch Walsall, I can't remember the score, but I can remember a lot of people and noise. Maybe some stato out there will find out for me. I was 6 or maybe 7 at the time.

First ever away game - unsegregated Brentford in 74/75. Yes the year we went up - that makes me officially a glory hunter!

February 1989 - at home V Stoke City in the old second division.
Mickey Brown scored in the first minute but we lost the match 2-1.
I was also in the away seats having only moved to the town a week and a half earlier but my next door neighbours uncle where I had lived previously was playing for Stoke that day so I got in free.

Walsal at home, mid 70s, I was about 8 or 9. It was the days when away fans used to be in the wakeman end. My mum used to bring in a milk crate so I could see over the perimeter wall.
My biggest memory of the game though is that a group of the walsal fans made there way down to the home fans in the station end and started fighting and loads of town fans where running across the pitch and jumping into the crowd around us. We used to stand where the away seats are now.

Home to Sheffield Wednesday in April 1982 (I think).
Remember losing 1-0 and that the ground was almost full - can anyone else remember the game?
Hard to believe it was 22 years ago!

Decemeber 15th 1990. 0-0 with Wigan. Possibly the worst game ever, but for some reason I kept going back for more.
As for away games, 2-2 at Preston in 1992. Darren Harmon got two headed goals. He must only have been 5 foot!

Home - Fulham 2-2 Away - Wrexham in 92 I think, lost 0-2. John Bond was in charge. Just looking at everyone's first games is a horrible reminder of how far we have fallen...... Fulham, Stoke, Brighton, Walsall, Sheff Wed, Wigan, Preston, Cardiff etc... ........ but in a few years time when we're back in the 2nd, I'll enjoy reading the story of someone's first game v Forest Green

My son Jake (3) went to Forest Green for his second ever game. His first was losing 3-1 at Cardiff! Could be a jinx in the making.

Home - Stockport in League Cup 1978 won 1-0 - and I stood in the little bit of terracing that used to be in front of the old wooden Station Stand. Anyone remember that? - had one in front of the Wakeman stand too which become my regular spot before moving to the Riverside when they rebuilt the stands. God I feel old!! Away - Ipswich in FA Cup replay 1981 lost 3-0

First home game was Septh 4th 1993 against Bury
We won 1-0 because of a goal after about 20 seconds from O' Neil Donaldson.

Walsall v Town at Fellows Park November 1983. Had a firework thrown at me as the Town fans left the station on the train, while I was waiting on the Brum side to go back to Uni with Mr S&R to be. I went as a night out with Mr S&R and another chap - just mates.........hmm........the day all things then changed for ever Mr S&R's first game seeing Reading was v Oxford at Elm Park in December of that year. So both initiated at a local derby!

Travelled back to Winchester by train, got into Reading at 2.30am had to wait for the 6am train out to Winchester. Policeman at Bescot Station who was checking where people were travelling to almost fell over when I said Winchester.

I really couldn't tell you who and the date as my parents me regularly as a babe in the arms. Save to say it would have been 1965. I never stood a chance, just like poor Rebecca and Joshua now!! ;D
The first game home I went to without my parents was 74/5 at home to Doncaster. Town won 7-4 (only 2-1 Town at half-time!)
First away game without my parents was the League Cup 2nd Rd 2nd leg against WBA (I think it was '80/ '81).
