6. has to be IAN WHITFIELD after his stirling effort this season with the program, on top of keeping the web site updated and taking a substantial paycut to boot. Well done ian

they sure are, why you not going to vote?
i can't remember the club collecting votes and making awards in the time i've been at the club, a good move if you ask me.

Yep, if awards are presented on the pitch not in front of our corporate friends........
Sorry Ian, but whilst this should be a good fund-raiser for the club, I feel that it's a bad move trying to tie 'fan's awards' to it.
So I shall honourably refrain form voting.

Having voted, im hoping the awards night will be a success and is a sell out, as it would be a little embarrassing for the players concerned to recieve their award in front of anything less than a full venue

Ian, can i just check the fact that harmerhill also queried. How can we vote for a top scorer? surely the award is self explanatoey, or do you mean best goal of the season award ?

I think the awards are an excellent idea, but I'm not going to the presentation night this year due to IMO extortionate price, went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I agree with the abstainers, I will not vote for awards that will be presented at an event which prices out many loyal fans.

Well done ian If its not confined to the footballing side, then I would like to nominate Sib Hayes for the excellent work she has done in improving the stock in the club shop, the away strip and and the retro shirt. Right now I guarantee that she will be looking at things for the shop just if we make the play-off final. Also for long service - Brian Perry.

Not got my vote mate for reasons previously stated. Ask the fans to vote and then present the awards in front of an audience most of whom probably think that Wrexham play in Blue & Amber, non starter mate, totally unbelievable, unless I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Have the club defended themselves over the extortionate prices for this event?
I also think they should defend themselves over the appointment of Mark Peters.

Hmm.........
To have kept the main fan base on side, it would probably have best been to have made the awards for this night based on the sponsors votes through the season.
Reading always collected votes - and then presented them in front of the fans on the pitch - not at the end of season party.

everyone is entitled to their views but as i said i think it's good for the club to actually collate the votes and give out awards on an annual basis.
chris smith will still run the super blues night, the junior blues will award their player and young player of the year on the pitch, normal things will continue.

The PR is just awful whitters. 'Vote for your player of the season even though you're not going to see the award being given'. It's rubbish. No one has a problem with this or the £45 end of season ball - but it's the way they've been brought out in a way that will annoy regular fans. I've got a letter winging it's way to the board about it though

personally i think it's just bringing two things together we've not done for a longtime, and it makes perfect sense.
the votes have come in from round the world so it shows that people aren't too concerned about not attending and seeing the awards get given out.
never know, could stick a video of the awards on the website.
i can see both sides of it.
hopefully you'll get a reply soon for the board. on the same subject i'm always amazed by the lack of questions that get sent in via asktheboard on the site.
in response to doobie the event is nearly 50% booked.
