Seems hes stepping down as Daggers manager in the summer, think he would be a good manager for the town.
Roland get your cheque book out and pay Quinne off, we need a proper manager to get us promoted out of this league next season.

I want a manager, Garry Hill knows what is wrong with our team but I don't want him in charge.

Errr....
Rymans Premier first season in charge got them promoted with 4 weeks to spare and 20 points clear at the top, they dropped only 2pts at home in the entire season.
First season in the conference finished 3rd, following year finished 2nd...
I think his reocord speaks for itself, any manager that can achieve this kind of record with a part time squad and on limited resources gets my vote of confidence any day, just imagine what the guy could do with our resources.
Sign him up now i say...

Surely if we have a new manager next season he will want to bring in his own players and we will be faced with another season with players who have to 'gel' to form a team that can win. Ours are just beginning to do that (I hope!) - should we not be giving them at least the first part of next season before changing anything again?

No way should we give Quinne another season in charge, we already have a team that should have made a serious challange this season,
Whatever happens, there will be a need to bring new faces in for next season, so a change in manager may well start to get the best out of what we already have and also bring in the additional talent and battling qualities we are currently lacking.
We need to get Luke Rodgers fireing on all cylinders again and i dont think Quinne is the man to do this.

Just what we need - a manager that can motivate us to beat one of the top five by 5-0, and then lose 9-0 at home to another. I think not. If we can't get Cotterill, I would stick with Quinn.

The Quinn Reaper will be here for two seasons come what may - even if he was found in bed with the whole STWFC squad.

Think Luke will be off in the summer.
The lad wants out, Quinns not built the team around him like KR did, we dont play to his strenghs and now we're not even playing him. Hes a brilliant footballer, whos reputation is being allowed to slip away.
I will be very angry if we dont sell Luke on in the summer. he's stayed loyal and continued to plug away and one gets the impression he's had enough of this club, the management and the league. he needs off.
And after the service he's given the club and the effort he's put in on the pitch since the tail end of the 99/00 season we owe him something...... his move.

We'll struggle to sell a player with only a dozen goals in this crap league. We may we owe Luke something, but it ain't a free transfer. I would like him to show what he's made off, and make it impossible for any manager to leave him out, but scoring a shed load of goals.

The fact is if the club continues to turn down offers from bigger clubs, Luke will probably just sit on his contract and walk off at the end of next season for next to mothing save a pathetic tribunal fee.

If we win the play-offs, then I think we should keep Quinn - He then has a year to show he can stabilise us in the 3rd before a promotion push the season afterwards. If we don't win the play-offs (or don't reach them) then we should consider finding a n other, but not just jump at the first one that comes along. I'd rather give Quinn another shot than take on a no-hoper manager. To be honest, if Chester and Hereford go up, we won't be left with much opposition to play against next season and I would be pretty confident of Quinn getting us up.

Maybe not a walkover, but no-one in the list to equal Hereford or Chester and we are not exactly in an embarrassing position this year (despite the suggestions on the board). I think if we are still in the conf next year (and I hope we are not) then I think we will be in a better position than we are now with our present squad. We may not take the title because, as you say, there are other contenders, but without Chester we have a better chance of picking it up, and I would be much more certain than this year of a play-off place.

i cant believe some town fans, its really starting to p**s me off, we've got a new manager, a completely new squad, hes only been in the job for around 10 months we're 5th in the league, what do people expect? quinn must stay, he's doing a great job in my opinion. we've got a really good chance of going up this year so why dont people just get behind the team 100% and stop moaning about who should be towns manager quinn must stay and come on you blues!
