Luke has been one of the few bright spots for us during the last few years. He is right to seek to further his career elsewhere and I wish him the best of luck and success wherever he goes. He will be missed, but we will bask in reflected glory when he's banging in the goals in a higher league. Hope to see him back in the All Star team for the opening of the New Meadow

I'm glad that he is going, for him and for us. The time is right for all concerned.
Now move on Luke and have the career your potential merits.
Thanks for the memories.

All the best Luke, i hope things go well at your next club, your service to STFC over the years is a great example to the younger players wanting to break through into the first team. Thanks for giving 100% every game even when the chips were down. Thanks for all the memorable goals to many to mention. Thanks for putting the $h!t up us with the playoff final penalty ;D You proved your potential by running rings around Everton and putting in a great performance against Chelsea. Playing for England was also a proud moment for all STFC fans. All the best Luke , you will get a great send off in the last home game against Scunny, and you'll recieve great aplause if you ever return to GM or the new ground your new club

Favourite Luke moment has to be when we played Crewe in the LDV quarter finals, and he hit a spectacular volley from an Ian Woan crosss to send us into the semis.
Must say he is talking sense in the paper about how he's gone stale - but good luck nevertheless.

He may not be as prolific as he was, but he always gave 100%. If some of his team mates had done the same, the last few years wouldn't have been such a rollercoaster ride! Good Luck!

You don't need me to tell you that you're a true star Lukey, always have been always will be.
The first ever hat-trick at Rochdale, the battering of Kidderminster, the goals against Barnet, THAT goal at home to Rochdale...I could go on forever.
I hope John Terry wins the PFA Player Of The Year award so I can forever say I saw one of my heroes run him ragged on a cold January night at Gay Meadow.
All the best to you Lukey, please don't forget us and we promise we will never forget you.
See you again one day.

He skied that penalty at the Brittannia stadium and the despair on his face was written large - but somehow it spurred on Howie to make those wonderful saves and all was not lost.
Some team is going to get an absolute bargain when they sign Luke, I think it will be the re-making of him.
I'm not a betting man, what odds could I get for Luke banging a few in in the next three games - I reckon it's a certainty if he's played.

John McGinlay, Carl Griffiths.... and then Luke Rodgers. He's been an absolute star - a Meadow legend Even those who stand on the Riverside get onto the edge of their seat when he gets the ball He deserves a great send-off against Sc***horpe on the final day of the season - hopefully Peters will haul him off with five mins to go so he gets a huge standing ovation. He'll be missed, no doubt, but he deserves to play higher. With his appetite and ability I've no doubt that in a couple of years time another set of fans will have their own new hero!! (just as long as it's not anyone in League Two - and that includes Wrectum) Good Luck Luke!!!!!

All the best for the future Luke- it feels like a member of the family leaving home but I think it might be the right thing for both parties. A slightly strange memory from me: the pre season friendly against Derby a couple of seasons ago- say what you like about friendlies but Luke was absolute class on that day and I just couldnt understand why you were still with us

Luke, you're very special and always will be. Thank you for always giving 100%. It was so obvious that, for all the long time you were with us, your heart was with Shrewsbury. It showed in many ways. It wasn't just pride in your own acheivements. It was pride in your team. I'm so glad I've got a DVD of the Play-Offs so I can watch you again. Heartbreaking for us- but you needed to move on. We'll have all our great memories of you. I just love the way you share your joy with us, the supporters, when you score. You light up the stadium at times like that! For so long, you were our shining star, our pride and joy. All the very best, Luke. I'm looking forward to hearing about you, in higher leagues- and hopefully seeing you on T.V.

Good luck Luke - just don't sign for Chester!
The last game of the season could see us saying goodbye to a lot of players.
Hopefully Luke leaving won't put too big a dent in the sale of season tickets for next season. Although in fairness to the club they have at least announced him leaving before Season tickets go on sale, not keeping it quiet until the middle of the summer.
