Well I reckon he's played his last game for The Town. Rumours about him not being happy that he hasnt been offered a contract yet. GP obviously not impressed by his form. On decent money good one to get off the books. GP mentioned to a mate of mine recently that he thinks the world of Hart and expects great things from him at a much higher level. So thats it for Scott then I'm afraid, you heard it here first dont forget

Well after the way Joe Hart played today, look no further for a replacement.

Rumour has it that Scott Howie has bought or is buying a house down in Norwich, make of that what you will.
But yes i also think Howie has played his last game for the Town, barring an injury to Joe Hart.

Oh dont get me wrong I'm a big Howie fan compared to what we've suffered with over the years, and we owe him a hell of alot, particularly and obviously last season.
Just think putting two and two together and making five I think he'll be off in May.

That was 12 months ago under another manager, in a different league playing with different players.
Judge him on his performances now.

It will do Scott good to realise that he is not the automatic choice to get the keepers jersey. The way Joe played today Scott should have a battle on his hands to get it back too!!

Although we have had a few goals past Scott recently, we still have a very good record in the division for goals conceeded. Yes, Scott needs to know the 1st team start is not a guarrantee, but I would be sad to lose him. A bit of competition between the keepers would do no harm for the team.

he did us proud last year, and got us into the league with his penalty saves, but we do need to look to the future as GP obviously is doing with all the youngsters coming in, good luck to him if he goes

He's been a bloody terrific signing for us, he really has and will always be remember for his saves which, excuse the pun, virtually single-handedly got us promoted last year.
He's my player of the season for this term too.
However GP has someone in Joe Hart who he rates extremely highly and that means, at some point, he has to make him no. 1.
I'd love to see Scott stay on even as our second 'keeper but I'd imagine he's on a fair wage and that for half the cost we could probably bring in a good reserve stopper.

Scott owns property in a few towns, he has invested his money wisely. This also means that he does not need to stick around if what is on offer does not match his valuation of himself....................

According to what I heard afterwards, Howie isnt exactly on low wages here and his demands dont meet GP's and GP thinks he can get as good for lesser wages.....We shall see

No secret at all but in the sponsors lounge GP said that he would be happy if SW didnt play in the next 6 games! cos that would mean we are safe and the present back 4 were doing a good job,and not that SW was not EVER to play again...................No secret

No Secret Gary told us that baiscally - Whitehead was stupid and was hit VERY HARD in the pocket for that. But after he spent a bit of time telling us how stupid he was he then preseeded to wax lyrical about gav Cowen (who he described as Animal in training!!!) I can take it that should we stay up that GAv is the replacement for Tinno and Wilko if he stays or someone new at right back!!! Sedge is clealy not rated by peters and with edwards playing like that is he needed? NO Howie - apparently he cant kick and does not dominated the area!!! And again we have a ready made youth replacement which gary is a fan of useing - he will play in the premership accorfing to GP - VERY VERY high praise!!!! (though he was complemetary to scott after his drop) And GP said hes got ideas of who he wants in pre season and will sign a new contract when were safe or when the board sort out the future of the club We need to keep this man - i was worried buts impressing me all the time (apart from away games ) All very intresting Oh and he said the door is never shut so even if we think a player is heading out of the team/club GP said there was always a way back Good news for Duane

I was looking out for you going to sit with Duane this afternoon Glyn. Poor chap, sat only with his daughter for company Bless him! I think i know why he got back in the team now the other week!! GP was making a big play about the fact there are no talkers at the club apart from Tinno and Martin OC he said these players can play 10% worse and still bring the rest of team by 20% and that the rest of the lads are very shy!! I think DD got back in no cos hes going to that good anymore but cos he was a "talker" something we were missing at the time!! JUst a though???

For me Howie has been one of the best down there and Hart will become one of the best, but why not keep both?.always the foundation block of any good side,to have two good goalkeepers is fantastic competition and if Hart is going places he will be sold for a lot of money and we will be back to finding talent again.

I would be very disappointed if Howie leaves at the end of the season. He has probably done more than any other player to get us into a position where we have a good fighting chance of staying in the league. Even though I have seen a few things in the three games before today which led me to believe that Scott was low on confidence (first goal at Lincoln, misjudging the shot that hit the post v Cambridge and the second goal at Northampton) I don't think he's become a bad keeper. He could still have a role to play this season and hopefully for at least the next two years.

I don't think we can dissmiss Scott so easily after all he's done.
We wouldn't be back in the league if it wasn't for him!

No loyalty in Football Wiggy....
Peters doesnt think hes good enough for the wages he's on and he's been giving The Boss grief over a new contract,he'll be away at the end of the season...

Gary P was singing Scott's praises in the way he had reacted today, also stating how well he'd done for us this season. Contrast with the way he answered the question about Jake s.
Keepers like Howie do not come along very often.
I think we'd be mad not to offer him a new contract.
