who will you show a copy to? Can we make this the agenda for tuesdays meeting? if people ask me what the feelings are i'll tell them... why does this have to be an agenda point? if you feel that way about it how about b&a getting together and sending in a monthly list of gripes and demands?

My turn ;D Last year we sponsored a matchball and a youth player to which the total come to something in the region of £400ish. Now, compared to the likes of the RMW's and Shropshire home it is pittance, but please bear in mind that we are a new business and every penny counts. Since then we have had sweet fa communications from the club to the point where we still have not received a receipt for the player sponsorship, and this is a must for end of year accounts. We were not even invited to the end of season 'corporate' bash. On top of this, 6 months down the line I open the programme up and to my surprise a picture of the player with his new sponsor We never even got asked if we would like to 'renew' the sponsorship (to which we would have said yes) and tbh it has now made my job harder to get any kind of sponsorship from 'the company' for the club. Now the amount of companies and businesses connected with STFC must be huge and most of us would kill to have a customer base that large but do we ever hear off the club via e-mail or promotions - no. Are there opportunities for networking via the club- yes. Potentially we could become good sponsors of the club but to me, this company's £400 seems to be the wrong type of sponsorship that STFC is looking for. We have even offered to heat the training ground with a boiler h/w cylinder, commissioning etc for FREE but the offer was never actioned upon. I'm not saying we deserve an executive box but incentives, newsletters or a phone call once in a while would go a long way. Juts let me know that my money is appreciated and help me as much as I am trying to help you.

I would guess this is not an isolated incident either.

if you feel that way about it how about b&a getting together and sending in a monthly list of gripes and demands? Thats not actually that bad an idea. But eventually people would be like 'Oh, there's the letter from those B&A moaners'. I think part of the problem is that the club have 'moaning fatigue'. They've heard so much criticism (and some of it is prattish in the extreme) that they've given up listening. On another note I think a real concern is the fact that we have had 2 people at senior level within the club investigated by the police. It does raise issues of trust and responsibility in the minds of fans.

People posting replys to 'why they hate threads' saying 'I hate these sort of threads' ;D 1. New Meadow being all-seated (7,000 empty seats in a deva-like stadium=atmosphere killer). Also the clubs stuborn attitude towards what we want from our new 'community' stadium. 2. The w@nker that always stands/sit behind me at aways games and ask's 'what colour are we going to be in today?' 3. I know he's gone but I still hate Mark Peters 4. The fact Darren Tinson is captain 5. Darren Tinson 6. The memory that after the Carlise/Scunny games in 2002/03 the club did'nt let us on the pitch and called the cops to shift me and a few mates becuase we loitered around after the Carlise game. Some people have no idea what this club means to us!

Also I hate the fact that ticket prices seem to go up every year and they never vary even when the team are doing sh!t. Being honest (and you can blast me for not being a 'real' fan if you want) but I don't want to travel 100+ miles to see a really sh!t football game, knowing I'm going to spend 3 hours stuck behind a sheep lorry driving home having paid over the odds to watch a bunch of uncommitted clodhopping donkeys go and f***ing well lose AGAIN. (I live within walking distance of a Championship club's ground for those who don't know). One day we'll all stop coming. Oh and it annoys me that a lot of 'guests' have posted on this thread. In reference to para 1 - go support someone else. In reference to para 2 - it appears you already have done.

That's the kind of attitude that could land you a job in the office at GM! But that's my point. Why do we support Shrewsbury at all? What sets us apart from the glory hunters in premiership shirts that you see everywhere? I don't think the board know. I think they just rely on us turning up.
