My gripe is about the family stand and having to wait untill 2.30 to be able to buy a ticket, i know you have to have a membership card, but as you may also know they were not on sale on the open day (no more spaces) (all gone) take your pick from several excuses.
Will STFC be running a membership scheme for the New Meadow?
Will there be family stand at the New Meadow?

More than likely and as it will be an all seater then my complaint at the moment and for an age about buying family tickets for the terrace at present will be continually brushed under the carpet until October this year

not justified in the way it was aimed at the club! straight bashing the club and saying it was our fault.. no idea about rushden, they haven't said anything when i asked about tickets.. last time i went i paid in the turnstyles, not sure if this is still the case. My annoyed post was made open for both clubs to answer YTFC & STFC, i explained the situation i went through and stated what stewards told us queuing Town fans , i wanted answers as to where the responsibility lies eg did STFC know ? (you answered that eventually cant help you let the thread go a bit before your post though, as i noticed you were logged on B&A a long time before your post) YTFC had the policy running all season so obviously they look after there own fans but dont inform away supporters or the club involved.

Lack of openess from the board The board treating some of us fans like we are all stupid(although there are some who are) The very bad PR (not you whitters) Not laying to rest some of the rumours that damage the moral of the fans. not realising that we do have good ideas and would like to help, not just with handing over our money. Members of the board should not automatically think we are out to have a go at them.

Club employees who see a post from a fan on B&A and sit sulking about it rather than thinking 'hey that's a decent idea, that could benefit our club'. I guess mines sommat along the same lines our kid… I do not like, what I consider, the siege mentality of the club. Good ideas with regards to many aspects of the club are suggested by supporters but instead of the club embracing them, the club seems to see them as an attack upon itself. Seems to be that the club is, on occasion, unhappy (I'm even gonna suggest threatened) by ideas suggested by supporters because the idea did not come from within the club.

I think a bit more advertising of forthcoming matches in the local media might be worth experimenting with. Most people on here are regular fans and would know who the next game is against and when it is. But I am sure there are several casual punters who may just be persuaded to take a trip to GM if they are encouraged by an advert (Radio Shrops/Beacon, Shrops Star, Town Center poster etc) which wets their appetite for the next game

Could not agree more, fair enough if the stand is going to sell out every week, but to make people stand in the rain like happened on Saturday-madness. Heard several 'holiday supporters' asking if they wanted to sell tickets or not

My major gripe at the moment is that I have been looking forward to a new stadium only to find there is nowhere to park my car and nowhere to sit and have a pint
They then have the audacity to be angry at me about it
I'm sorry, you have the money, the figures, the architect, the planners, the consultants, you work it out

I think the thing that annoys me most is the threat of going back to blue and white. Stop dicking around with the things that matter to the fans. I have NEVER seen a picture of the club directors wearing a replica shirt, so why should they decide what colour it should be? It makes no difference to their sartorial state does it?
Also I hate the fact that ticket prices seem to go up every year and they never vary even when the team are doing sh!t. Being honest (and you can blast me for not being a 'real' fan if you want) but I don't want to travel 100+ miles to see a really sh!t football game, knowing I'm going to spend 3 hours stuck behind a sheep lorry driving home having paid over the odds to watch a bunch of uncommitted clodhopping donkeys go and f***ing well lose AGAIN. (I live within walking distance of a Championship club's ground for those who don't know).
I think if we're bottom third of the table, we should only pay a third of the price, middle third pay 2/3 the price, top third pay full price. The players wages should be based on that as well. Then they'd play their guts out.
The fans get f*** all for their loyalty from Shrewsbury Town and fair play Whitters, I don't think you're going to change that. It's ingrained in the very fabric of the club. Every gripe on here - from ticketing to marketing to whatever - is down to the attitude of the board towards the fans. One day we'll all stop coming.
Oh and it annoys me that a lot of 'guests' have posted on this thread.

To be fair to the club addmission prices have remained static for what 3/4 seasons now? We have to be one of the cheapest clubs in the league, and thank flip they dont do the scheme whereby if you turn up on match day without a pre-ordered ticket you have to pay an extra £2/3

Let's start the ball rolling for 8th January 2005.
Given that its a football club it has to be the football
Since we last dropped to the fourth division we have only managed one top half finish. And that in a division that for much of the 60s 70s and 80s we barely looked like getting stuck in.
A simply dreadful record and everything else fades into insignificance in comparison.

I just hate the fact we don't win very often. Sort out the football, the rest is incidental.

I hope the programme sellers have some shelter at The Rowley Arena cos last week was a nightmare trying to keep the programmes dry , and I know a lot of people collect them and want them nice so I do me best.

Am still waiting to see a board on the railings of the Wakeman Sc hool facing the road on which the next game is advertised. Have mentioned this myself three times at meetings. Have been told it will be done by Wingrove according to Sayfritz. I am not going to ask again

Go on then...as you asked so nicely! The irony of being able to sit at Rushden, being cheaper than standing (or actually sitting!) at The Meadow! Come on that family ticket for the terraces!

Some good ideas posted that largely cover any of my own frustrations at times with the club. Lots of feedback for the Board/Club in general. The test will be whether any of this is put into effect and/or if at least we receive comment as to why certain ideas may not be feasible from a logistics/commercial point of view : Ian, perhaps you/AN other at the club could take this forward, either feeding back on here or something being put in programme etc. Perhaps we could have an "Idea of the month/season" award for supporters? We come from all walks of life and the supporter base could be an untapped goldmine for ideas. Finally, I think we do need to stand back for a moment and remember all the good things that the club has done over the past year or 2 , where I personally think that a lot of key areas have been improved, although like any business, STFC have to face the fact that customers are getting more demanding all the time

Ian, you're now asking for peoples opinions but seem to be usually winding supporters up by being ultra-defensive of STFC and arguing with people over every detail.
What I would like to know is - are you doing anything with this information? are you passing it onto someone higher up at STFC that gives a sh!te?
