Good luck to the lad. From the fourth division to european football in one step.
I think he'll shine for them.

How much compensation do you think we'll get
I think we could get atleast £50k surely which will help us to buy a player who can actually control and cross the ball

All the best to Chris.

Good luck to Chris, would of liked him to stay but I'm not as upset with this news as I was when Davies left. As the season progressed he struggled as teams who came to the prostar just marked him out of the game, although maybe that said more about the lack of adaptability in the rest of the side than Humphrey. Hope he does well in Scotland.

Which thread and where? All I've heard is speculation with no fact. Do the English FA not say that clubs selling under 24's are entitled to a fee. Shouldn't matter whether he goes to Blackpool, Scotland or Djibouti. He's being sold from this country, under the English FA's juristriction.....

Agreed, we have lost a young player that we have lost and should be compensated under the rules no matter where he goes, the compensation price would change but it is not fair on us if he goes for compleately free. If you are right TMLS then why did'nt Simmo accept £25k from Blackpool the other week?

I think an English clubs was the first to exploit this loophole, by bringing someone from Scotland (Webster ?) and not pying, but I could be confused was it Wigan or Blackburn or someone from Lancashire ?

Whilst I wish him all the best and hope he does well and will miss seeing his pace down the wing, I cant really say I will miss seeing the very poor quality of the final ball at the end of those runs.

Well, it's probably fair to say that the SPL is a step up from L2, and a 3-year contract as well. Well done Chris.
However, judging by the ease with which most half-decent L2 full-backs managed to completely nullify any threat Hump posed last season, I really can't see him making much of an impact up there. I predict 4 or 5 starts early on in the season, followed by a period on the bench followed by the remainder of the season in the reserves as they begin to recognise his limitations.
And it's a long way from home for him too.
I wonder whether his agent has really done him any favours here. He certainly hasn't done us any, but I guess he will probably have made a bob or two out of it.

No great loss. He can't shoot and can't cross, apart from that he was brilliant. He relied on knocking the ball past the full-back and using his pace. Didn't work at Wembley and I really don't think he was anywhere near as good as he was being hyped up to be. If he wants to go and play in the equivalent of the Conference that's up to him. As far European football I hardly call Llanelli and some outfit from Albania as world beaters.

Utter farce, as was the Davies mistake.
We should of sorted contracts out last Winter.
We have lost three key players due to this mistake.
Whoever made the choice of withdrawing contract offers till after the season has finished should be hung.
Never mind we have Hibbert & Dunfield!

Sad news. A kid with bags of potential and one of a few players lately that got me out of my seat with anticipation when he got the ball. Good luck Chris. Just remember to put your brain into gear or just keep your mouth shut when your next chairman speaks to you

Goodbye Chris and thanks - if we get no compensation read this as 'thanks for nothing'!! If we do then it will be just thanks for the Dagenham goal.

I can't believe we have lost 2 of our most exciting players on free transfers, the fact we are low on players as well doesnt help, owel !
Good luck Chris.

Who did it because the players were rejecting the offers made to them. With the recession and I believe the possible extension of salary cap the club the view that negs would start after the season had finished. And if you think about it, 4 out of the 6 signed.

Not that suprising if we really think about it.
Most clubs in the Scottish top flight were pretty insolvent and that was before Setanta went bust!
