After seeing some of the things said from last nights meeting it seems alot are not happy. So our we going to get together and give the club a proper buisness plan for a stand alown supporters club and how to fund the build. Iv already asked a friend in a brewary for in fomation on how we get finance for this. Basicaly they pay and we sell there beer. Ill be getting names and numbers of who to talk to soon hopfully. also most here seam to want b/a seets and shirts so why not pay any extra ourselves. its our club so its time to show the club a profesional attitude not just a group of fans that get in there way. Im no expert but would do anything i could to help get the ground and club the club we deserve and want.

Good Post TFIC. Every user of this board knows someone or is that person that has some knowledge of how to get a Supporters Club bar off the ground and running. All this knowhow needs channeling into a business plan to show the board. For as Keith Sayfritz said on more than one occaision last night you show us your plans and if they stand up we will go to the Brewery with you.

Good call If anyone off here wants to contact me with all details gathered I will forward them to the Umbrella Group who are organising and formulating this proposal. The deadline for this is the 2nd week of January so it is time to move, and move fast also, if anyone is a member of a club or association that would consider moving their venue / local to the New Meadow Supporters bar please contact me with how many people there are in your club and how often you meet PM me on here

im for a community pavillion type thing.. our own telepost on the NM
BUT to ease planning problems... we have to start things like Shrewsbury Town Cubs and Brownies, make STWFC and junior blues run from there - build a stage and make it not just a pub so bands, pantos etc can be run from there. Instead of a drinking den, look at wine bar possibilites too.
the problem is this council again... they wont allow drinking den for hooligans - but nice little social place for STWFC and STFC brownies and we may be on.
lastly - all negative energies about the new meadow should be channeled to AblieFox, SARA and Banks as steel prices have rocketed and thus tighter budget on the new ground. If this had of been built 3 yr ago then wed of had more for our money.

How to make the New Meadow work?
I'd suggest putting the gardening section out past the fitted kitchens and have the powertools near the tills.

The New Meadow has to be opened as far as possible for use by the community on days other than match days.
That means match day facilities that double as accomodation for clubs to hold activities and committee meetings. Corporate boxes that have internet access so that they can be used as temporary office accomodation for micro businesses. Accomodation for fitness and activity classes for all ages and aptitudes.
A supporters bar that's fitted out so that during the week it can... well let's have a few ideas.

There's two communities here - the Shrewsbury Town community and the one in the immediate vicinity of the ground.
Stuck up on the second floor is something called an education room. What is that for? Is this something to do with the FITC? There is a close parallel between the aims of FITC and IRJBA's post. What facilities are those guys going to have? I understand that their role is more outreach with in-school programmes. Maybe there could be an expanded role with homework clubs and similar - something with the aim of inceasing educational attainment?
It seems one way of strengthening the bonds between the the football club and the community it is involved in. We didn't hear anything about that sort of thing last night.
Shropshire is a very big but sparsely populated county and deprivation tends often to be of the "picturesque" rural variety.

Whats all this Get the brewery to build a supporters bar?, are you all mad? Surely the way to do it is self build and have a free house, why should the brewery get all the profits.
