We still don't know if Giles is going back or Lewis Cox is going to have to do a massive backtrack.

it is a huge blow , the only player with blistering pace that unsettles defenders, whilst i understand wolves have an injury problem just a pity they could not have waited till after the Liverpool game. so ricketts needs a pacey winger ,a forward and personlly a midfielder whith pace who can go on some charging runs.

We still don't know if Giles is going back or Tom Collomosse and Lewis Cox are going have to do a u turn. Not quite the "Star exclusive" claimed. Is it an exclusive because no one else was prepared to run with a bit of tittle tattle?

But he could play against Liverpool and Man Utd in 7 days. We have never loaned a player out and recalled have we?? Grow up people...any long term loan will have a recall clause in case the parent club have injuries. Sure, he could well do. I did allude to that in my post, I mean he is heading back to a top flight club. But the question is, what are the chances that he will do? I would think he were nailed on to start for Town against Liverpool. As for people needing to 'grow up', I don't think anyone is spitting the dummy. Just disappointed that he is leaving us and wondering whether its something the player himself would rather avoid. We all know how the loan market works, the clue is in the name. Calm down people... his performance against Bristol deserverd a game against Liverpool, i wish him all the best and just sad to see him go.

Vinagre was only operating as cover for Jonny.
So Giles goes from playing for Town against Liverpool to bench warming for Wolves. He's most unlikely to start a game for them.

Bit galling to see one of their bright sparks say, oh yeah, Giles, I'd forgotten all about him. Three left wing backs isn't enough apparently.

"Maybe he will be able to come back". What exactly are the rules relating to players who are on a season long loan who are then recalled by the parent Club? Are they allowed to come back within the original loan period?

Mr Ricketts spot on with his comments. We liked him, we'll miss him, we go on.

Are they allowed to come back within the original loan period? If the clubs have ripped up the loan agreement and then Wolves find someone more suitable to them what's to stop a new loan of Giles back to us? Some of the development people at Wolves would probably see Giles getting a Liverpool game at this stage of his development as a massive bonus.

id guess that we have a replacement later today But the replacement might well be Cup-tied. The Cup is great to be in, but certainly not my priority, Yes its great to be playing by far the best team in the country, but for us to beat them, we need them to have a bad day, and us to be superb, Losing Giles is not helping, but I am more concerned for the League. That is far more important!!

Boooo to Wolves obviously another Premier Club with a small squad!!! He's their player, we were allowed to have him in return for development. Mr Ricketts is disappointed to be losing him (and will expect a bit of favour from them in the future). No point in leaving the deal on a sour note.

It seems more likely we'll look back on the Cup run as the best part of this season than any league success we're likely to achieve. On Tuesday I hadn't seen such enjoyment of a game since perhaps the Charlton play off win. The Cup run might help us improve in the league but there are at least six teams above us looking much more likely to sustain a play off challenge now. Think we could see a group breaking clear very soon. None of which means we should give up the league - it's nice to think we might yet build a winning run and transform the picture.

Sunderland were below us a few weeks back. If this team can find consistency in the league and take 12 points from 15 at some point we'll be right up there around the playoffs.

With Laurent on the other side and Lang through the middle Laurent will just be asked to fill in that spot as usual and if he doesn't perform the vultures will be out for him again.

Why don’t people think Whalley will slot in that role? He might have been playing as a striker recently but he is a winger.
