a tough game for town against an oxford team who are doing well and scoring goals, i will be happy with an away point anything more will be a bonus.

5-4-1 according to Lewis Cox.

Not too happy with Fejiri being the lone striker.
For me, he doesn't put in the work rate and also gives away cheap free kicks.
I hope I'm wrong. We certainly have options on the bench with 3 strikers and Giles there.

Bore the arse of them and nick a winner. But what's plan B if we concede early?

Need to test Jordan Archer the emergency loan goalkeeper they've just signed, he probably hasn't played much recently.

The real worry here is that Town are playing well but not capitalising on it with a goal.

I joined about 20 minutes in. Not an awful lot happening to be honest. I suppose the home side just edging it when it comes to possession and territory. Not a lot from our lads going forward.

The real worry here is that Town are playing well but not capitalising on it with a goal. all credit to town for a very good first half considering we are playing a team who have not lost in seventeen games and are sixth , three good chances from one from pierre that forced a goal line clearence and two from Edwards , as you say camdenshrew when town are playing this well we really needed to have scored. let us hope we dont get punished in the second half

Then you missed the best of the half. Town looked energetic and enterprising for the first 20-25 mins. Good movement, some very neat passes, one great set piece free kick, one cleared off the line and otherwise very solid. The intensity dipped somewhat after that and it's now a much more even game

Think we could see that score coming from a good way out. Still, a good point.

we have managed a good point away from home against a team with the second best scoring rate in our league. whilst Oxford had a lot of possession in the second half, due to some solid defending and hard work from the team ,we limited oxford to very few chances with O'Leary only had to make two saves.
the commenators felt the subs could have come on sooner as some of town players started to tire. just a pity we did not score when we caused them some problems in the first twenty minutes.

I'd have taken a point before the game, need to find a gem in January to score some goals

Elliott summarising and focusing on the negatives again regarding the clubs ambitions and expected (in his opinion) league position - yes we’d all like to see more goals but mid table and a tight defence is a positive enough for me

I'd have taken a point before the game, need to find a gem in January to score some goals Eoin Doyle? 18 goals in 19 League games on loan to Swindon from Bradford. Scored in his last 8 games!

0 0 away to free scoring Oxford side on a fantastic run, how can anyone with half a brain (Mark Elliot and some on here) see this as any sort of a negative. Oh silly me we should really be beating these sort of teams!!!!

I’d have taken 0-0 before kick off so I’m not going to complain when we’ve achieved that. Very good result.
Striker in January? We have enough decent strikers, assuming Lang recovers by then. It’s about service as much as anything.

Agree with this.
With Lang fit again, between him, Cummiongs and Fey we should have enough to score more goals - Its about being clinical and taking the chances that we create.
Although the 4-3-3 does seem to allow us to be that bit more attacking which I personally like.

Anyone thought that Bradford might want to keep him after his loan has expired?

Our problem is not that we haven't got forwards. We could have Liverpool's front three and he'd still play one up front. We have a natural goal scorer in Cummings and he didn't play him because he sets up not to lose. It's not necessarily a criticism of him just a fact. Maybe his attitude will change when we get to fifty odd points. Won't hold my breath though....
